meh, I think you used this one on another site. So I'll repeat my answer.

Balrog of Moria - there are more places to hide in the mines.

Frodo's Quest, or Beren's Quest?

I love such choices! :yuck:

Let's see ... Frodo loses one finger, Beren an entire hand; by that measure, I'll take Frdod's quest. :wary:

I forgot about the dismemberments when I posted the choices.

What are you offering, Gando? My choices apparently caused a temporary loss of consciousness.

Something of the sort ...

Would you consider hiring Beren for secretarial work? :type:

Now you're playing the wrong game. It's This or That, not Would You Ever ..... I'll continue it. :-D

Beleriand or Númenor?

I'm being creative! This strict adherence to thread protocol is just so b o r i n g!

Beleriand. Much shorter swim to shore when the place goes submarine.

Beren or Lúthien for secretarial work? (How's that for recycling my slightly errant post? )

Lol for secretarial work... I guess Beren simply to avoid the stereotype of women secretaries. :p

A beer from bree or from Moria?

Bree, hands down. Even fairly far into the Fourth Age, I'd be a bit worried about whether all of the baddies had been flushed out of Moria (the place is just so BIG!)

Ask Thranduil or Thorin for an appraisal of the value of jewelry about which you were uncertain about its worth?

I would ask the Elf, of course.

Ride Rochallor, or ride Nahar?

:-o
A nice sedate ride in a pony cart drawn by Bill, and with Sam along, is more along my equestrian line.

For a view of the countryside, climb up the White Tower of Minas Tirith (from the main gate) or up Orthanc?

Definitely the White Tower. Orthanc might be a bit dangerous....

Follow Frodo and Sam to Mordor, or go with Merry and Pippin?

Merry and Pippin. For all the sneaking that Sam and Frodo and Gollum had to do, I'm just too ... erm ... voluminous to be helpful for their quest.

Try to cross the Ford of Bruinen uninvited or recapture Osgiliath together with Boromir?

Boromir Image I guess that's enough of a hint.

Cross the Helcaraxë with Fingolfin, or sail to Arda with Tar-Aldarion?

Sail to Arda with Tar-Aldarion. I'm on a ship, so I don't have to walk, as I would with Fingolfin. And gigantic glaciers are just much too cold and dangerous for me, I'm not an Elf!

Do marriage counseling for Aldarion and Erendis, or for Fëanor and Nerdanel?

Fëanor and Nerdanel ... I might be lucky enough to meet their firstborn son. ♥‿♥

Would you rather be a financial advisor to Thranduil, or Thingol?

Thranduil. That whole business with the Nauglamir, with Beren and Lúthien's Silmaril embedded in it, would strike me as too risky.

Work as a consultant to the Orcs on how to keep their abodes neat, or to Barliman Butterbur on how to be efficiently organized?
