Elrond. While Valinorean meals may be far beyond anything possible in Middle-earth, by Elrond’s time the Elves had gained 6500 years more experience in what to do with Middle-earth’s more mundane foodstuffs.

Would you rather open a weight-watcher’s school among Hobbits or a manners school among Orcs?

Post subject:  Re: The "This or That" Game

I think I would enjoy opening a weight-watchers school for hobbits. Mind you, I would likely end up enjoying my own second breakfasts, and set a poor example for my students.

Would you rather follow Strider through the Midgewater Marshes, or Gollem across Emyn Muil?

Aragorn through the marshes because at least then I can hear Aragorn singing rather than Gollum hissing.

Would you rather fight 100 orcs or 1 Nazgul

Post subject:  Re: The "This or That" Game

Methinks I would be slain in either situation but .....

I would rather fight 100 Orcs because I might be able to turn them against each other; no such chance with the Nazgûl.

Would you rather interview Morgoth, or Sauron?

Post subject:  Re: The "This or That" Game

Eh... well if I am going to risk it... why not... Morgoth. :p

Ent poetry or Dwarven stories?

Dwarfish stories .... I don't think I would live long enough to hear an Ent recite a long poem.

Gotta go with the heart of fire.

Varda or Yavanna?

Post subject:  Re: The "This or That" Game

Yavanna, just closer to everyday life (though I do also like astronomy).

Númenórean ships or Elven ships?

Author:  Evil.Shieldmaiden [ October 22nd, 2017, 4:17 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: The "This or That" Game

As a sailor, I would be more familiar with the workings of the Númenórean ships, as long as I wasn't part of the fleet that headed for Valinor.

Azog or Gothmog?

Morgoth. Just seems like a character with more depth. :P

The Children of Hurin book or the Unfinished tales?

Author:  Evil.Shieldmaiden [ November 3rd, 2017, 8:50 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: The "This or That" Game

ImageI'm not sure how you got Morgoth out of Azog or Gothmog. I guess it proves his charisma is so much stronger than their is.

I'm not fond of the Túrin/Nienor story, so I will go with the Unfinished Tales because it contains some interesting "back stories".
