For Englsih, we have to rsearch Gothic authors and I was wondering if Tolkien would be considered one?

Read this article in Wikipedia and I think you'll see it's absolutely positively undeniably not gothic lit.

Tolkien was definately not in the gothic era so i m not sure if his writing was gothic or not now that i think about it

No I wouldn't say Tolkien was a Gothic writer, but then again I'm not sure of the definition... Nevertheless he was inspired by other genres and mythologies... so I wont deny the fact that one may recognize gothic elements in his work.

This thread might be an... hmm inspiration...
