I think there is something about C.S. Lewis and JRR Tolkien, but I am not up with all of the details. |

Well, they were close friends and members of a writing "club" called the Inklings. Is that what you mean? |

Well, I wouldn't say 'striking resemblance'. To me they just look the way people imagine old maps to be like... a little brownish, old tortuous font and perhaps a little burned on the edges! 
And the similarities make a lot of sense if the same people worked on both maps. Interesting observation though! (Where did you find the Tolkien map? And what kind of site is that?) |

Yeah that's very interesting indeed. I guess the maps are so similar, because Tolkien and Lewis were such close friends. I don't really know anything about it though |

I don't think that CS Lewis and Tolkein ebing freinds has anything to do with it. Intresting point though, it was Lewis that suggested that Tolkien should draw a map, ahlfway though a reader of part of TTT |
