Hey ya'll I was just wonderin if I was crazy for thinkin that they should try making a LotR themed park. They got the World of Harry Potter thing now, so why not somethin for LotR? If they do it right, it would be amazing. Have sections for each land that you can go through with different things in each part. Only thing is what kind of rides would they have? What do ya'll think?

I think that'll be really hard to do. But like you said, if they do it right then it should be great.

that would be awesome, it would be neat if you could go though moria with the fellowship, participate in the charge or the rohirim and stuff like that

I know, it would take a lot of planning and work to get it right, but if they did it would be awesome! If they had some sort of simulator games to make you feel like you were right there in the big battles fighting along side the characters that would be cool. And yes, going through the Mines would be neat idea.

definetly onto something. Ive often hoped that one would be made but still nothing :(
but what with all the attention around the hobbit we may see it in the future.

great ideas above :) participating in battles would be epic. Maybe a ride where u could shieldboard down the stairs while shooting at orcs :lol:

Now that would be a cool ride! And hey, they did a rollercoaster with a dragon theme for Harry Potters world, so why not a Smaug themed coaster? Or remember the scene from FotR where the birds are flying through Isengard and all the orcs are busy preparing for war, and the scene looked like it was a rollercoaster ride? Why not build that set with a coaster track running through it? Have an Isengard ride. Not only would the park be cool, but what about working there? That would be neat....yeah, we so need a LotR version of Disney World, lol.

I think though, that the best place to have a LOTR park in New Zealand.

True, it might help contribute to the Middle Earth feel if it was in NZ. They should have a few of them scattered around the world though, make the park a little more accessible to everyone. we've got so many ideas bouncing around here maybe we should design the park and hire people to build it, a park built by LotR fans for LotR fans! :lol:

Minor complication, lol. Yeah, dont think it would work. Nice idea, just not easily possible. another idea, they should have people there who can train you to use the weapons, get some awesome sword action going on.

The gift shop could consist of swords, signed posters and a ton of lotr stuff like that
