I saw this on Twitter today (after searching for Lord of the Rings as a hashtag) and felt that I had to share the amazingness: EDIT: Posting the twitpic link didn't work (took me to the wrong picture), so I uploaded a copy on photobucket, but I want to make sure credit is given to the true owner of the cake, (or at least the one who posted the picture), @thinkgeek on Twitter. Anyway, here's the pic: http://s151.photobucket.com/albums/s132 ... t=cake.jpg I was pretty much blown away. Look at the detail! It's too beautiful to eat, isn't it? What are your thoughts? Would you ever have a Lord of the Rings themed wedding cake of your own? |

I have to say, it's a stunning looking cake, but being something of a cake decorator myself, it will have been incredibly easy to do. I can see exactly the processes they have used. Not to take anything away from it, as why over complicate when you wouldn't achieve the same level of prettyness?

Very unique! I'm not sure that I would do something like that, but I agree that the detail is amazing. I like the touches of the leaves of Lorien... the one on the bottom looks like a real brooch as well. |
