So......I'm looking to decorate my home in various themes. Each room to have some sort of reference to the Trilogy. For instance, I hope to develop a medicinal herb garden with Lothlorien in mind. I'd like to make my dining room reflect Bag End since Hobbits enjoy good meals. Living room....dunno yet. Kitchen? DALE, of course! LOL

At any rate, suggestions are much appreciated. I'll be making a lot of my own things like dishes, mugs, bowls, platters, etc.

Brightest blessings!

Oh! Something with Yavanna and the two trees would be outstanding! Of you can't tell by my avatar and banners I kind of like them. :)

I'm making a tile backsplash for the kitchen that will have symbols from the Trilogy, and that's a good suggestion for a tile.

I also like banners. I wish I knew how to sew! Hmmmmmm..... I'll have to give that some thought.

I also saw some decorations involving little glass vials and things. But, I have 2 khats that are the sort that like to knock things off of tables and such. So............

That sounds really cool. If you are able and comfortable with posting pictures I would love to see pictures of some of this once you get things decorated!

And yes, I know how cats can be about knocking things off.

Awesome. :D Look forward to seeing them!

Lol, I can imagine. I've never done much with clay before.

If you're looking for artwork. Jenny Dolfen has some lovely, reasonably priced prints for sale on Etsy.

Wow, she does do really good work! Thanks indeed. :)

What exactly does she do the art with and on? Is it clay?

I noticed she has a custom option! I am soo tempted to ask her to do one of Yavanna and the ents and then Rana the Wayward and Vasa the Heart of Fire!!! O_O That would be sooo cool!

She's a watercolourist. I have 8 of her prints, with 3 having gold paint accents. I also have one of her art books. When I repaint my living room, I plan on using the prints as a feature.

She's quite an illustrator, and watercolours are one of the most demanding mediums. Very lovely, indeed!

Watercolours dry "color-fast" which means that, once they're down, there they will stay, unless the paper gets well and truly soaked. I've never had any of mine run unless I intended it during the painting process.

Pastels, graphite, and charcoals? That's another matter.
