its a basic thing.i get a jug and put in some yeast and some demerera sugar and scrunch it with a spoon for a while and then add some warm water.thats warm not hot.stir it up and then fill the jug up with water and leave it to foam and bubble.if its not doing this then then its not working.then i put quite alot of flour in and make a pit for it in the middle and pour in the yeast and kneed it till its the right gluey texture.it goes into a baking croc.hen it goes into the oven at at 1-2 on the gas and leave it to rise for an hour or so.then i zap it up to 7 for half an hour and put it down to 6 for another half hour or so and its ready |

There's a recipe for lembas at the Council Of Elrond website. Along with other really cute things; like Pippin's Peanut Butter Cookies; and Legolas Blonde Brownies, and what have you. In fact, the lembas in the movie looked pretty much like toast to me. xD |

The first time I made it, it was delicious. I actually have it for lunch everyday now. But the only thing wrong with it is that you need a drink with it. It is VERY dry ... sort of. |

i bake lembas on occasions when fellow ringers come ovr, and it normally turns out good, but its really easy to undercook cuz if its in the oven a minute too long it burns and if its in a minute to short its really undercooked, so sometimes i sit by the oven and read lotr so i can check on it every now and then. but overall, i suppose it turns out ok. i got the recipe off of www.councilofelrond.com they have HUNDREDS of lembas recipes!! |
