Elemir was the only child of Galadriel and her first husband Elros-older brother of Elrond. Shortly after her birth her father was (unfortunately) killed by an Oliphant. After her mother's remarriage to Celeborn, she was renamed Celemir Eldarion signifying that although she was only half elven, she was highly favored by the Eldar. She lived a quiet childhood, rarely speaking. She was shy except around her family and her best friend Haldir. Although he was much older than her, (almost twice her age)they got along for the most part. But when she became a teenager things were much different. Haldir became a guardian of the woods, always coming and going, without her best friend she was nothing. So she plunged even deeper into silence, rarely even speaking with her beloved father.
From that time on, every time Haldir returned it was heaven, and every time he left it was harder. She would cry for weeks on end, not knowing what to do with herself. Finally she was fully grown, she hadn’t seen her best friend in over 3 years, and had almost completely forgotten the fun they use to have. When he returned for a year’s leave, she couldn’t speak to him, she could only turn red then leave. She loved him. She went on in heaven with her Haldir home for a year until one evening he was summoned to a counsel. Late that night he came to her chamber to tell her he would be leaving for Helm’s Deep in the morning. He asked if she would go with him, and she did.
They snuck out and were married that night. All was well until tragedy struck when Haldir was pronounced dead and almost buried alive. Once finding he was barely alive, and after much prayer and rest. Haldir got better, and they settled down together for 5 years before sailing over the sea together.
