Biography: Menna's parents both perished when she was 13 years old, her only other living relative was her father's best friend; Cyrus. So she went to live with him after their untimely passing.
Cyrus was/is a grudging, stagnant older man and the prospect of having to take care of the girl repulsed him. However he was quite wealthy, and owned a fair share of lands, providing him with an undeserved amount of respect and friendship.
As Menna grew older, Cyrus's interests in her changed. Seeing now that she was in fact a beautiful young woman he began to try and make right all the neglect she had recieved in the past. He took her to be his escort whenever a social affair was being held...she taught him how to see things from a lighter heart, making changes in the old mans life for the better. Despite the fact that he was twenty years her senior, they were soon wed...and things changed.
He had her now, and his mindset soon became that which it had always been. Bent on money and land, he often ignored his young wife and when her words turned against him, he turned his hand on her....
