Name: Elysian of Skyrim Race: Mermaid, of a somewhat rare sort Age: 17 Gender: Female Appearance: Straight silvery hair that falls to her waist. She's very pale, with dark green-blue eyes. When in form, her tail is a mother-of-pearl/silverish color, with the fin showing a slight tint of blue. Otherwise wearing close-fitting gowns and flowing robes. Very tall and slender, and rarely smiles. Weaponry: A scimitar formed of melded coral and glass, which is a surprisingly sturdy material. She also has a mostly decorative dagger ornamented by precious jewels--taken, of course, from treasuries of sunken ships. She actually never has much of a reason to battle, save routine sparring matches with her training instructor. (Not to say that isn't more than a sparring instructor...) History: Let me start off with her race....Many years ago, when the land suffered but the Under-Surface was paradise, a clan of fisherman prayed to their gods and begged to be granted life underwater. This was, after some time, given, although not without cost, for they were also gifted immortality. The clan was offered a choice at age 21, to either remain in their new form, forever, or to become human, as they once were, although still immortal. Until this age of ceremony, they are able to switch forms at will. They soon discovered how bittersweet their gift was. Elysian has this choice yet before her, and, as the daughter of a wealthy merchant, her selection will become known at the moment she makes it. This will not be for some time, however, and for the time being she is most often found Up-Surface, enjoying the sunlight and doing what she wishes. |
