Micha nodded. "I guess Inwas more tired than I realized. Having an wlf on watch doesn't hurt my nerves either."

He pointed out a rout on the map. Once we get through this patch of forest we can follow the base of the mountains until here. There is a little used passage over the mountains in Erigeon where it is usually safe to cross this time of year."

Sygnet smiled at him, "That sounds like a good route," she packed up the meat into her bag and then munched some bread that was in her bag.

(Going to dona time skip unless you havensomething you are planning tonhappen before they get to the crossingof the Misty Mountains in Erigeon)

Micha also packed upnhisnfew things. After a quick breakfast they were on their way once more. Minutes turned into hours and a few short breaks and long walks later the sun was descending below the horizon once more.

Sygnet turned to him, "Do you want to keep going for a bit or stop for the night. There are probably some Elven ruins near by," she patted her horse's neck a few times and then looked up at the setting sun.

"Elvin ruins?" He inquired. "Maybe a good place to spend the night?"

She nodded, "They are usually out of the wind and snow. It probably won't be infested with orcs and the like but it would still be good to have a watch. I can do it." She looked around the trees and dismounted.

She approached the side of the path and began searching through the bushes for something. Her horse watched her patiently, waiting for her return.

Micha waited cautiously, watching Sygnet. His hand floated tonthe hilt of his sword without a concious thought. He rubbed the aide of his horse's neck, his eyes constantly scanning the horizon.

"Are you looking for something?" He finally asked.

Sygnet didn't look back as she continued to look, "There should be a trail around here. Through these trees somewhere. It's should be right...here," she pulled a tree branch aside to reveal a small path, laden with old, missy cobblestones that led into the trees. She smiled, "there are some elvish ruins through here. I remember from the old maps I studied last century."

Micha smiled slightly, always amazed an the memory of an elf. He felt like he had a decent memory but not that good.

"Perfect," he said. He dismounted his horse to get through the brush and low tree branches easier as he followed Sygnet's lead.

Sygnet entered the bushes. Her horse, noticing her walk away, snorted softly and then trotted after her, ducking his head under branches.

The path was long and narrow. Barely wide enough for a horse but Sygnet kept walking until she reached a ruin, surrounded by trees. Most of the walls were still intact but moss and ivy snaked up the white, marbled sides. She found an entrance in the side and entered.

Micha followed, his horse close behind him. When they got tonthe ruins Micha looked them over without even thinking. Were they safe? Were they occupied? Etc... They seemed clear.

"Seems like a good place," he said releasing the hilt of his sword. "What did these ruins used to be?"

He grabbed his things and began setting up camp.

Sygnet set her bag down and unsaddled her horse, "this was the city of Pembar. It's history is long forgotten and not many know the history. Alas, I do not," she began to build a ring for a fire, "there are more ruins behind those trees over there," she pointed northwards.

Her horse has wandered off slightly, eating the grass and sniffing the bushes nearby.

Micha glanced around the landscape. In the fasing light it was sometimes hard to recal his journeys from years past. "I know the name, I'm sure I've been in these ruins before, if only in passing." He looked towards the east. "We won't be far from Redhorn pass," he point east and slightly south. "Just before the pass there is a small crevace in the rock that leads to a steep drop into a dark hole. We can go theough the hole and it takes us along Redhorn pass, only far lower. I generally take that rout to avoid the bitter cold."

Sygnet nodded, "It was once a beautiful city, if only its history was not lost, however, your path through the mountain sounds quite agreeable to me," she said, beginning to gather the wood from the ground nearby.

Micha nodded. He avoided the cold of the mountains any time he could. He too began to gather a few sticks from nearby and prepare the campsite.

Before long there was a healthy fire, warm coffee brewing and a pleasant meal. Syndar, Micha's horse came up, begging for a sip of coffee. Micha grinned, offered the horse a little in a bowl and the contented animal went back to his meandering about while grazing.

Sygnet smiled at the horse and laughed quietly, "Micha, where do you normally live? When you aren't traveling?" she asked quietly, a little nervous to even ask the question because she didn't know if it was a tender subject or not. She was still curious all the same.
