Ruth Ann was rather annoyed at someone else ruining her technique, but she was in no position to say no. If she did not agree, their was a dramatically less possiblity of them agreeing to let her go. "Fine," Ruth Ann agreed, "but be sneeky."

(and no one noticed Honion slip into the forest behind the group? Go figures... I guess my post are invisible when made away from home or something... lol!)

The two other Dunadain had noticed the sudden alertness in the elves, though unlike Aragorn who had been raised in Rivendell, they did not know Elvish. But they had known they were being followed since their companion at the very back of the group slipped away.

It was not long after a man fell into the path from behind a bush with a broken nose, and behind him out stepped Honion.
"Now come out the rest of you bunch of bandits," he called, with a grin, broad-sword in hand.

A few minutes of silence passed, and men in ragged cloth clothing jumped out from every side of them. The group of Ranger, Elves, and Hobbit were out numbered by ten or so.

(now we have internet up... but still won't be on as much! Please leave some bandits for my characters, also! lol!)

(I noticed, but Ruth Ann didn't. She is too.. bloodthirsty right now. )

Ruth Ann squeeled inside with anticipation. She hadn't fought and/or killed anyone for a while now. She was too busy with affairs in the Shire and the finding of this Great Ring to focus too much on justice for all by typical mansladder.

Moving both of her weapons in symmetrical unison, Ruth Ann indirect sent out a message of "if you mess with me, you die."

Anira smiled lightly as the bandits finally stepped from the shadows, her eyes aglow. "So the skulking cowards finally reveal themselves," she remarked as she swiftly put away her bow and unsheathed her twin daggers. Sidestepping an assault, she parried the blow of one bandit before slitting his throat, his blood staining her blade with a crimson hue.

Honion, sword already in hand, killed the bandit infront of him, and then turned to gut one that jumped out from behind. When the banits realized this group was a fighting force, then jumped back, and blocked skillfully as not to get killed. A better dressed bandit stepped up to the group.
"Wait! We mean no harm, seeing that we have no chance against you. We are just poor men looking for food and money. Can you not help us? I am Dogwood of the Midgewater Bandits. And I assure you we did not choose the name of Midgewater bandits ourself..."

"You are right that you do not have the force to fight against us," Ruth Ann proudheartedly announced, "but how can we trust that you are a friend?"

"I see your point. But me and my men are no fiends. We are just hunger men with no place to go," he replied. At this Lughir stepped forward.
"Then go into Bree, and find yourselves some jobs. Here, enough to stay at the Inn for a night. Now leave us. If I, or any other of this group see you again, we will kill you without mercy," he handed the men enough coins for them.
"Kill us for no reason!? Then rumors of the Rangers being a mean race is true!" With that the man snatched away the coins, and he and his men ran off without looking back, leaving their dead companions behind.
"Mean race indeed! At least we burry and pay our respects to our dead," Honion retorted...

Alahra found her weapon annoyingly inefficient as the battle continued. As she ducked abother blow, she caught another across her cheek, leaving a deep welt, but nothing of seirous consequence. She rested for a moment, and glanced about to see the progress of her fellows.

"No, let them be." Anira answered Ruth Ann kindly as cleaned her daggers before sheathing them. "If they are foolish enough to strike again, they will be given no quarter, but we have more pressing matters to attend to. If we are to arrive at our destination in a timely fashion we had best continue on our way."
