Sylied sliced through the last orc that was threatening the small group he was in. He glanced around as Deawen moved over towards him. He stepped between her and the closest group of orcs when he saw Legolas take a blade on his leg.
Noticing his younger brother was nearly out of arrows he grabbed the quiver on his back and tossed it to him. "Legolas!" he called, tossing the arrows as he moved over towards legolas so him, Deawen and Legolas could stand back to back to defend eachother.

Zekiera was administering some herbal remedy to Lalaith's wound when he heard Megildurion calling out.
He looked over and then back to Lalaith. "A moment, my lady." He jumped up and rushed over to help Megildurion to the nearest tree.
"Are you sure you are well enough to fight?" Zekiera asked in his gruff voice.

Lalaith kept her hand clenched above her hip, not quite letting Zekiera tend to it. His appearance still frightened her and the woman was at a point that she did not trust many.. She lay on her side, pulling up her knees, her face touching the cold earth. "No..no.." she kept on murmering. "Leave me.."

Somewhere along the line of the fight Maethoriel's sleeves had been shredded and her arm cut. It was an odd change, she was no longer an arrogant, pessimistic half-Elf, but a beastly shadow of her old self. Red rivulets of blood traced thick scars that ran the length of her arm making them stand out starkly against her skin. She had stolen a pair of gauntlets from one of the creatures when the fighting got thick and started using the sharp gloves in opposition to her sickles.
---------------------
Gandalf once again surveyed those around him seeing a break in the battle. When his eyes alighted on the girl Lalaith who lay bleeding on the ground he immediately took action to have her taken care of. He was too far from her, but the distance would be easy for Maethoriel to cover.
"Maethoriel!" He yelled over the ruckus; "The child," he said gesturing with his head.
The woman's attention was caught and she gave a nod in response. She slashed and pushed through the crowded space towards the cowering girl. Maethoriel stepped in front of the frightened Lalaith and widened her position to a fighting stance.
"I have you," she called over her shoulder not bothering to turn completely so that her eye could remain fixed on the enemy.

Megildurion leaned against the trunk and dropped an orc with a well placed shaft. "Hannon le. Just make sure they do not take you from behind." He warned Zekiera, ignoring the pain in his heel temporarily to fire another few shots. The orcs were thinning. "Where are those bloody guards when needed?" He snarled, kicking an orc back with his good leg and shooting him.

Zekiera glanced back over to Lalaith. It seemed an elf was tending to her and he was sure she would be more of a doctor than he was.
Zekiera nodded at Megildurion. "I'll watch my back, and yours." He knew the elf wouldn't be able to do that good in close combat with his injuries.
Zekiera intercepted a goblin, striking it's face with his steel arm braces and grabbing the hilt of it's sword. In a single fluid motion he slipped the goblin up and over his back, manuvering the creatures blade so as it stabbed through the goblin when it landed.
Quickly Zekiera sapped the moister out of the lifeless body and raised it into the air as a barage of goblin arrows came their way. The water formed into ice, blocking the arrows. Zekiera then turned his hands upward and clenched his fists, breaking the ice into sharp spikes and hurling them at the enemy with a swing of his arm.
It seemed the goblins would be driven back before the guards showed up... if they showed up. There were only a few small groups left. Zekiera stayed at a distance, more confident in the fighting skills of his companions than of his own.

Taurvantian fought his way into the thick of the battle, his curved sword flashing as it nimbly carved through several goblins. One of the mortals appeared to be badly wounded, and he saw that an elf leaning against a tree for support. The goblins would hopefully not be victorious in this battle, but the defensive party would not emerge from this completely whole and well. The very children of King Thranduil were fighting here... but where were the armies?
Taurvantian looked about in wonder and surprise. One of the King's daughters had blood running down her face, and Legolas appeared to be wounded in the leg. Surely help would come?
The thought of Ellethwen fighting alone in the midst of this came back to his mind. He saw her over with Mirima, another of the daughters of Thranduil, who had come to her aid only just in time. Feeling that she indeed did need his help after all, he tried to work his way over to where she was. His height made him a ready target for the oncoming goblins, but his strength, born of many years of practice and experience, held him firm. When will these yrch leave us in peace? he thought, growing impatient as he struggled over dead bodies, fighting his way over to Ellethwen and Mirima. Surely two fair she-elves had the need of his protection.

Ellethwen looked over as Taurvantian fought his way towards her and Mirima. "We can hold them back," she yelled to him over the clang and clash of metal scraping against metal. "But it is taking a great toll on our party. Where are Mirkwood's armies?"
She swiftly turned around again as a goblin approached her and fired an arrow into his stomach. Mirima unsheathed her sword and slit it's throat. The two elven maidens fought close together, the golden-haired eldest daughter of Thranduil and the strange dark-haired maiden of Lorien.
"Ada will send out his soldiers once he knows we are being attacked," Mirima said, as she beheaded a goblin. "He wouldn't abandon us."
"King Thranduil is your father?" Ellethwen enquired, as best she could over the din of battle. Mirima gave a small nod then struck a goblin over the head.

Megildurion was running out of arrows. The goblin numbers were shrinking, but they could still cause damadge. Firing off his final shafts, he pulled out his swod with some difficulty and kept the yrch at bay.
((Mirkwood Armed Forced would be very handy about now.))

((Yay for the army! ))
Taurvantian answered Ellethwen as best he could over the din of the battle. "Are you sure?" he asked, still fighting his way over to where she and Mirima still struggled with a band of goblins. The thought of the eldest of King Thranduil's daughters and a strange yet beautiful Lorien she-elf fighting a horde of goblins bothered him. "I can... at least... help you," he said, speaking between the slashes of his sword. Finally he arrived at a position a little closer to them. "Where are the armies," he muttered under his breath. "It grows difficult for us to ward these yrch off... our strength cannot last forever, and they keep coming." He spoke in what would have been a normal tone under ordinary circumstances, but the clashing of arms made it nigh on inaudible now. Though it appeared that Mirima and Ellethwen were holding their own quite well, he felt obligated to see to their safety. There was no possible way that he was going to leave them to the cruel devices of these goblins.

"There are few of them left now," Ellethwen called over to Taurvantian as he fought his way over to her and Mirima. A goblin rushed up behind her and with reflexes as quick as lightning, she spun round and knocked him down with more force than looked capable of such a slender being. She swiftly fired an arrow into it's head.
Turning around, she looked around the battlefield. How dare these yrch invade this land? She felt a cold wrath inside her. Her gaze turned to Taurvantian. It was the quickest of glances, the smallest of moments, but a strange light gleamed in the dark blue eyes.
Then, as a small surge of goblins came up behind her and Mirima, she turned away and took an arrow from her quiver. She plunged it like a sword through a goblin's neck with a yell. It toppled backwards. "Cursed yrch," she muttered.
"That was good," Mirima said admiringly, turning round from slitting a goblin's throat, her Elven sword stained with the creature's black blood.
"They have no right to be here," Ellethwen replied. "We will show them what it means to tread on the green grass of this land without invite."

Sylied continued fighting, sticking close to his youngest sister. It seemed Mirima had found two cappable companions to help her in her fight. Legolas and Deawen were both injured, so he stuck close to the two of them.
He ducked below a swing and pushed two goblins backwards and to the ground with his two arms, swung to block an attack while kicking the goblin's sword asside and preceeding to impale the thing throught the heart.
Sylied then quickly decapitated the two goblins he had pushed down as they attempted to get back to their feet.
-----------------------------------------------------
Zekiera, though he had no bow and arrows, was quite adapt at using throwing knives. (which he had a multitude of)
Zekiera took out his throwing knives one by one, whirling them through the air and hitting unsuspecting goblins. thge knives seemed to whistle through the air until each one found it's target with a resounding thud and the definite sound of a blade slicing through flesh.
Zekiera paused as a few goblins rushed at him. He nibly wove his way between the blades, grabing a gobling by the arm and beside the neck. He took the thing, using his hope, and flipped it up and over, slamming it down on the ground. His in-hand knife pierced the things throat as soon as it hit the hard ground. Zekiera flinched as blood spurted out onto his face.
The other two goblins turned back to face him. One was quickly dispelled with a strike of Zekiera's knife in the skull. the second one ran at him.
Zekiera blocked a few wild attacks with his leg and arm guards before side stepping and grabbeding the goblin's hands. He used the creatures momentum and pulled it forward, puting his leg infront of it to trip it and stiking the elbow hard enough to crack the bone as the goblin fell to the ground.
Zekiera twisted the goblin's sword from his hands and finished him off.
Now that he was out of knives he commenced grabbing any bladed weapon he could find that had been dropped on the ground by dead goblins. He hurled the swords, spears, and knives through the air at any goblin that ventured into his range.
