Sygnet sighed, "I don't even know where he is, if he's here...I'm scared," she confessed.

"I know..." Micha replied. "You just have to ask yourself... how long can you go without confronting those fears?"

Micha glanced back to the city. "If you want I can take a message. Give me his name and I will find him. I know several elves in the city...one of them will know of him."

She swallowed, "I'm gonna go. If I stop, don't let me turn around," she said and moved into the Valley once more.

Micha followed. He had never had to face such a situation... in some ways goblins and trolls seemed like a more inviting task to overcome.

He followed Sygnet down the long stretch of winding road and into Rivendel.

Sygnet made her way to to the towards stables and dismounted before moving across the bridge, towards a small cluster of houses near the market.

"Should I wait for you here?" Micha asked, still on Syndar.

Sygnet shook her head and turned towards him, "No. I need you," she said. Her nerve was almost used up at this point.

Micha nodded and continued on with Sygnet. Following her slowly through the streets.

She came to a small house where she took a deep breath and knocked on the door. A tall elf answered. He had silver-blond hair that hung down past his shoulders. His eyes were the same color as Sygnet's with a dark blue and his face shape matched hers. He was smiling slightly but a frown creased his face when he saw his daughter. She smiled weakly up at him and he responded by slamming the door in her face.

Micha raised an eyebrow at her father's response. Not knowing the man it was hard to judge, but he knew that many times such responses meant that he was just as afraid of facing the issues as Sygnet was.

He looked over to her to wait for her reaction.

Sygnet scowled and knocked more forcefully, "Father, you have every right to be angry!" she called.

"I am very angry with you, Sygnet," he replied.

"I want to talk to you!" she said.

"Go home!"

"I can't," she said. There was the sound of footsteps and her opened the door, "Why not?" he asked.

"Thalion passed..." she said quietly, looking at her toes.

Micha stood back, saying nothing. He looked at Sygnet's father, looking him square in the eyes trying to gauge his character.

Sygnet's father huffed, "I told you that no good would come out of marrying this man," he said gruffly.

Sygnet looked at him, "Give it a rest, okay? So, maybe it was wrong but I loved him," she said, "Did you ever love someone so much that you would do anything for them?"

He sighed slightly and his face relaxed, "I am sorry," he said, coming foreword to envelope her in a hug.

Micha stood back a ways and said nothing. He was glad to see her father soften, however.

When he stepped back he finally registered Micha, "Who is this?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Fathers, this is Micha. Micha, this is my father, Armani," he introduced.

Micha bowed his head in greeting. He didn't know the man but he looked familiar. As often as Micha had frequented Rivendel it years past it wouldn't be a stretch to assume he had run into the man elf previously.

"I'm an adventure," Micha introduced himself. "My path and that of your daughter happened to head in the same direction. Travels through the lonelands and trollshaws are much safer when with companions."
