((Well, really sorry about the double post... I'm gonna speed this up, as everyone is waiting for something to happen. [you said you had something in mind, Meldawen... ))

Aearion, hearing nothing, got up and took his pack.

"Well, I uh, I guess I'll see you tomarrow." He bowed his head slightly, "Namarie, Atalante." With that he walked away, heading to his house.

That night, after cleaning up the mess of herbs his father had left, he fell on his bed, and fell into a sightless, dreamless sleep.

((whoops! Sorry, I missed that post for some reason.))

Thire glanced around at the sky and landscape as the group approached Dol Guldur. The feeling of oppression that he had been worried about earlier returned to him, stronger this time.

((Okay! I have a plan! I may have come up with it at 11 last night when I couldn't get to sleep, but it's still a plan Oh, and like I said, I know it takes longer than this to get to Dol Guldur but hey, it's an RP))

The rest of that day progressed without incident, and just before nightfall the group of scouts sent their horses back to the palace to continue on foot. When morning came it was overcast and grey, making the already dim forest seem dark.

Meleth swung her quiver of arrows over her shoulder and made sure her twin knives were secure at her belt. "Let's go," she called to the others.

At the palace, breakfast was laid in the dining hall and its residents were just sitting down to eat.

Atalante straightened up, from giving one of the cats that roamed the palace a morsel of her breakfast, which she herself had not yet touched. She glanced about momentarily and then was distracted by the animal giving a sudden yowl. It bristled, puffing itself out to twice its normal size in its fright, and then abruptly keeled over on the stone floor, obviously dead.

She stared, bewildered, for a moment, and then a sudden suspicion struck. "Don't eat it!" she shrieked over the murmur of voices, looking down at her own plate in disbelief. Heads turned. "No, don't eat it, I think it's poisoned..." she reiterated, trailing off into silence and reddening slightly - what if she was wrong?

((It IS, in fact, poisoned, btw))

Aearion stopped, hearing the warning. He was very surprised, but he was mostly upset that he didn't get his breakfast. He sighed and got up, heading over to where Atalante sat, tripping over the dead cat, and catching himself on the table and the top of Atalante's chair. He closed his eyes and sighed again,

"Sorry.." he whispered, he got up and stepped around the cat. "I take it someone was giving table scraps?.." With a sad smirk, not waiting for an answer he took her plate. He ran his fingers blindly across the center of the plate, and then rubbing them together. "Listen to her. Its poisoned." He said dreadingly, he then washed his fingers with his water, looking rather rude, but it was nessicary. He put his hand on Atalante's shoulder and leaned in to whisper to her,
"Come with me, I can see what kind of poison it is, but I will need you to be my eyes."

Thire checked his own weapons, making sure they were close at hand. He paused a moment, glancing up at the dim forest, then urged his horse on, following Meleth.

Vanwawen was just about to swollow her food when Atlante said it was poisened. She cauphed the food out of her mouth, and kept cauphing. When all the food that she was about to eat was out, she swollowed water from a water skin she kept with her, just in case. This she knew wasn't poisoned. She hurried over to Aearion and Atalante and overheard what they were saying...

Aearion, hearing Vanwawen approach, turned to her and whisperd also,

"You may come along too, if you wish. I will need a few helping hands as obviously, I can't see what I'm doing. It also makes it more difficult to see the results." His voice held a jesting smirk at the end of his sentance, and then he turned to Atalante, then back to Vanwawen,

"Are you both with me?"

"Yeeeeess..." said Atalante uncertainly, standing. She glanced around - everybody seemed suitably warned of the cicumstances, and nobody looked about to unknowingly take a bite. She hesitated. "We should really make sure that nothing that could possibly be poisoned will be eaten, first."

Vanwawen smiled, "I think I can take care of that!"
She looked around the room for any more pets, and seeing there were none, walked to the end of the table, took hold of the talbe cloth, and pulled it away. This caused the food to go allover. On people's laps, onto the floor, and even a few dishes broke. Vanwawen walked back over to Aearion and Atlante with a smile.
"I don't think anyone will eat their food now..."

Aearion stood still, eyes closed, teeth clenched, head screaming.

"That was a smart move, but please. Warn me before you do something like that, I am already blind, I don't want to be deaf." He said, not changing his current position, through a clenched jaw. "Anyway, now that you will have the kitchen maids on your tail about... now," Aearion seemed unussually nervous. "I'd say we should leave about, NOW." He then clamped his hand down ontop of Vanwawen's arm, and tapped Atalante on her shoulder, signaling her to leave. He then, rather quickly, drug Vanwawen outside.

"Don't do that! You'll have the staff after you for months!"

"I know. But Prince Legolas is on my side... besides, thats not the first time I done it!" she said mischeviously...

Aearion nodded dryly,

"Yes well... Just... Why are you smiling?" Aearion struggled to keep a straight face, but he was about up to his ears with not being able to see, and with Vanwawen's smart alacy atitude.

"Alright, well... You've had your... fun... just... Oh come on." He gently grabbed her wrist and brought her inside his house, then looked back at Atalante,

"You coming too?" He said, then turned back around and headed back into his house, not bothering to bring a candle into the dark room. "Vanwawen, would you please go back to that back room," he motionede to a pitch black room to the back to the house, "And get the- Well, the big bottle of greenish, silverish stuff." He sounded rather silly, but then he headed back outside to retreave some things.

Atalante looked doubtful, but followed them more slowly. "I meant in the kitchen, and such," she explained to Vanwawen when she got inside. "Who knows how much of it we'll need to test?"
