Ruth Ann Underhill sat next to a well gazing up at the clouds, sharpening her sword, and waiting for something interesting to at least happen. She had heard rumors of something, and that was good enough to leave the Shire. Although, pretty much any reason would be good enough. Sometimes, no reason is even needed.

However, this time there was a reason. There was a possibly that something interesting just might happen. Although, at it had seemed, the most interesting thing so far had been whether to shoot the deer or the moose for dinner.

Sighing from anticipation, and some boredom, Ruth Ann continued to hack away at the dull ends of the sword. "It will ocme," she commented to herself, "There can't be peace forever."

As Reniel found a town centre, she saw villagers standing about, a man on a platform watching her.
"Can I help you?" he inquired coolly.
"We came to warn you of a pending attack -" An arrow whistled past her ear.
"Evacuate! Everyone into the town centre! Get the warriors!" screamed the man on the platform.
Reniel turned towards the source of the arrow, her own bow drawn.

((aw man, I had a good little post made up when you did that! oh well!))

Dakara jumped off Eonera's horse at the first arrow, and took out his sword, pointing it to the direction the arrow had come from.

Eonera unsheathed her twin swords, and attached them at the hilts to make a two-bladed sword, and got ready for battle.

Eruraina had her bow out in an instant at the first arrow.
"All women and children go inside, or into the town square... men help fight if possible, and spread the word to the rest of the village," she yelled, her scense of authority taking hold...

Reniel killed the archer. Her eyes widened as a line of bandits approached, their swords and bows at the ready.
"Make haste!" she shouted, riding back and forth. She did not fancy charging into the midst of the bandits alone.

Soon half the men on that side of the village were ready with their old swords and shields or bows. From the distance, Rain(Eruraina) started shooting arrows, hoping to slow down the bandits' attack.
"I was hoping to get here earlier so we could get a good blockade up..." she mumbled through gritted teeth...

(got to go to bed now! ta ta for now mellon nins!)

Ruth Ann sharpened one last itme with the sword when she heard a strange whistle that seemed so familar she just had to check it out. Throwing the stone on the ground, Ruth Ann picked herself up and wandered over towards where the noise orginated from. Practically invisible (since hobbits are already half the size of "normal" peple), Ruth Ann peered out to see an ambush.

"Just what I've been waiting for," Ruth Ann smirked to herself, "a fight." She pulled out her perfered weapon (a sword, which would be more like a dagger to again "normal" people) and proceeded on slaying a few within reach.

Running forward, Ruth came up to Reniel. Knodding, she said, "Ruth Ann Underhill. At your service. Any I can do to help?"

Aria strung her bow, and started shooting. She was taking aim when she saw a movment to her left. She whirled around and stuck the bandit on the head, then finished him off with a stroke of her dagger. ((Sorry i've been away, i'm on vacation, and it's really hard to find a comp i can use))

Czarra lept off Screamer and unsheathed her sword. The bandits were coming forward quickly. Why didn't I learn to use a bow? she thought. Grabing a knife from her belt she aimed it let it go. It hit one in the chest and he dropped to the grownd dead.

Beldak was startled by the sudden move of the horse and turned his head to the upcoming party of bandits. He left holding Czarra, placed an arrow in the bow and strecthed it out till it reaches to its maximum extent. And let the arrow go hit the feet of a bandit that came from the Screamer's back and surely, it did and the men fell onto the floor. After throwing the arrow, Beldak turned to Czarra. "It is good you have me then" he smiled. "You better check out on the bandit I just caused him to fall whether he is alive or not"

Elandiel charged into the ranks of the bandits, grateful for the reinforcements. "It would appear we are the only truly trained fighters, mellon nins." she said with a laugh.

"It would seem," Czarra yelled to Elandiel. She ran to the man Baldak shot down and push him over. "He's dead, Baldak!" Czarra ran forward and started slicing the bandits.

Reniel charged back into the town, seeing a bandit preparing to kill a young girl who rode away from him as fast as she could on her pony. She screamed.
Reniel raised her bow and shot the bandit, rage filling her. She turned her attentions to the girl. She dismounted so she could look her in the eye. "Are you all right, young one?"
The girl said nothing, just wrapped her arms around Reniel and sobbed.
Reniel stiffened for a moment, generally shocked. She patted the girl's back awkwardly. "You should be indoors with your mother."
"Aelsa! Aelsa where have you..." a rather large woman paused in mid sentence, her eyes falling upon the embracing pair. "My goodness, dear, what's happened?" she glanced at the dead bandit.
"She was chased by a bandit. Nearly killed her." Reniel said.
The woman paled. "You saved her life?"
"No ma'am. I merely killed the bandit. She saved her own life." said Reniel quickly. She remounted and wheeled around once more. "Please, go to your town centre. You'll be safe there."
She glanced over. The bandits were attempting to light it on fire but were shot down by the locals.

Ruth Ann stood around Reniel for a moment longer, but, getting impatient, she decided just to fight. After all, what else was there to do?

Running in a different direction than the other figthers.. Ruth Ann ran into another section of the bandits. Slicking, killing, and such things as those were what appeared to occur next. Smiling Ruth Ann stood in the middle of a group of bandits when she noticed three running into one of the houses.

Eruraina put her bow away, and drew her rohirrim longsword when the bandits came close. Quickly she dismounted, and ran into the midst of the bandits, cutting them down. Fuin, her horse, kicked and bit at any who came close to her. Rain made her way so she was near Patrillis.
"It's good to be able to fight again after so long... right, my friend?" she asked, cutting the shins as a bandit who ran toward her, and bent down, causing the bandit to flip over her back...
