Megan still had a big smile on her face, when she heard Allison's groggy voice. She giggled a bit and continued shaking her friend's small body lightly. "But, I need to talk to you! Something amazing happened!" She whispered happily and laughed a bit, her eyes glimmering out of happiness. She made sure that Allison was listening, before she mentioned anything.

She sat on her legs and then rested her hands in her lap finally, keeping her eyes on Allison. "Legolas and I... We decided to be together. He loves me..." She said in almost a dreamy state, but she knew that she had her best friend to thank for it all. She told her not to give up hope on love. She had always kept her thinking positive about it.

She couldn't have been more excited in her entire life. She would forever be bound to Legolas. Well... Not fully, but maybe someday, she would be. Now wasn't the time.

(Last post for the night, I'm afraid! Posting tomorrow might be a bit more sporadic since I'm going home for the night so I can go get my braces taken off on Thursday, and I'm 99% sure I'm just going to leave my laptop in my dorm room since I'll only be gone one night. But I might take it with me anyway. XD Good night!)

"Are you serious?" Allison asked, her voice still tired but now much more interested than before. "Like, it actually happened? It wasn't just a dream?" She was mostly teasing. She had never seen Megan like this before, so part of her knew that it had to be real. Is that what you look like when your wildest--and I really do mean wildest--dream comes true? "That's amazing! Oh, M--" she caught herself once again before she accidentally said 'Megan'--"I'm so happy for you! Tell me everything! What did he say? What did you say? Oh, this is wonderful!"

[Haha alright! Hope we get to talk a bit tomorrow!]

Megan laughed a bit to what Allison said and then smiled wider than before, if that were even possible. "I spilled the beans that I loved him and he just... Hurried over to me and kissed me... It was one of the most romantic things that I've ever had happen to me, Arabella. It was... Breathtaking." She said to her best friend happily, looking dazed and in a dream state.

She was playing with her hands without noticing and anyone could tell that she was giddy from something. She sighed happily and looked over to the sunrise, before looking back to her friend. "I wanted to let you know, before tomorrow's journey. So, I'll let you go back to sleep. I need at least a little bit of sleep, as well." She laughed a bit and then hugged her friend tightly. "Thank you, for making me stop myself, when I wanted to give up on love." She whispered in her best friend's ear and then slowly stood up from her spot.

She looked over to her new lover, Legolas, and then smiled lovingly to him. She walked over to him slowly and then sat down beside him on the ground. She leaned against him and then looked into his eyes, still smiling. "So... Are we just going to keep this a secret from the majority of the Fellowship, or actually show everyone?" She asked him softly.

(I have another song suggestion for you! "My Heart Belongs to You" by Hayley Westenra. It is PERFECT. Also I saw you requested a banner with lyrics from "Annie Watches!" I was quite flattered!)

Allison listened in wonder to Megan's story. It sounded too perfect to be real, something out of a daydream or a story or a film. But then, what about this whole situation wasn't out of a daydream? She tried to imagine what it would feel like to be kissed like that, out of the blue. It was too difficult, and she gave up after only a few seconds.

Allison had never actually been kissed.

She let out a tiny squeal. "Oh, Amara, I'm so happy for you!" She returned the hug her friend gave her, genuine happiness coursing through her. If anyone deserved this, it was Megan, especially after what she had endured today. "Any time. Go get some rest now...if you can even sleep after all the excitement, anyway," she teased. Once Megan had left her side, Allison turned and looked at Frodo thoughtfully. If it had worked for Megan... Oh, you're being ridiculous. Just go back to bed.

------------

Legolas wrapped an arm around Amara as she sat down beside her and kissed her on the top of her head before leaning his head against hers. He thought carefully about her question. It was a legitimate thing to ask. How would they go about doing this? Estel already knew, of course, and he could only imagine that Amara had left him earlier to give the news to Arabella. But what of the others? Surely the Hobbits wouldn't mind. Mithrandir probably wouldn't object outright to it. But Boromir and the Dwarf...that was a bit of a different story. The question was which they would object more to--them flaunting their love or hiding it and then having the secret get out.

"Neither," he said. "And both." He smiled down at her. "I say we do nothing to hide it, but at the same time, try not to show it off too much. Let them find out in their own time, if they will. That way, we can be honest without having to tell them everything. If they have any objections, I can only imagine those will get worse if they find out we are hiding things from the others."

(Oooooh, I'm gonna listen to that right now! And yes! I used some of the lyrics! :D I'm glad that you were happy about that!)

If Megan was going to be living in Middle Earth now, she figured that she would have to start really thinking of herself as Amara... Not Megan. She didn't want to accidentally spill the beans about her history from her time. In all honesty, she barely remembered some of the things from her world. It kind of scared her. Middle Earth was actually becoming her life now and her old life was dissipating. She didn't know whether or not it was a good thing or a bad thing. She didn't have a history here. She would have to start fresh with Legolas... But, she wasn't complaining at all about that.

Legolas' displays of affection that he just had showed really made Megan happy about telling him. Things were going to be totally and completely different, but not in a bad way. It was nothing but good. She listened to the words flowing out of his mouth and looked up into his eyes, smiling. She loved the way that he tried to make everyone happy and how much he cared for the Fellowship and its well being. She couldn't stop staring at him and knew that she probably looked really dumb at the moment, but she could've cared less. He was hers. She had never been more proud about something in her life.

"I like that idea..." She said softly, still looking like she was in a dream state. That fact that she was in love with Legolas was quite apparent on her face at that point in time. She was now wondering what the future would hold for her and her elf prince.

Legolas smiled softly at her in the dimness. "Good," he said. "Now, my love, you should rest. Today has been a difficult one--you've been through a lot. The attack, nearly--" he held her a bit closer at this point--"nearly dying, and now this." He gave a light laugh. "Sleep now. I shall stay with you. Sleep."

(Gah, sorry for super short post. Math is distracting me)

[Haha it's okay! We'll skip to like Boromir's death or something.]

It had been at least a couple of months, since the Fellowship had departed from Rivendell. Their land of destination was now Parth Galen, which was a green lawn above the Falls of Rauros at the feet of Amon Hen. It was on the western shore of Nen Hithoel near the southern end — a fair, green sward, watered by a small spring. It was quite a beautiful place and it held so much history within it. Megan was taken by it, as they rowed in their small boats toward it.

Gandalf had already fallen, in the mines of Moria. Megan and Allison had tried to stop him from fighting the Balrog, but he wouldn't listen to them. He knew that it was something that he had to do. Everyone, from then on, walked with heavy hearts. They also had already visited Lady Galadriel, where they all had been tested by her and received gifts. Megan had received a beautiful Elvish pendant, which strangely looked familiar to her. But, she couldn't put her finger on it. Not yet, anyway.

Aragorn was in charge of the Fellowship, now that Gandalf was gone. Looking down to her feet as she sat in the boat beside Legolas, she sighed deeply. She missed Gandalf terribly. He was like a grandfather to her and had helped them all so much along the way to destroying the Ring of Power. She wrapped her arms around herself and then bit her lower lip hard. She hoped that things would only get better. She couldn't remember if they did or not. Her own home was becoming a blur to her now. She couldn't remember the movie or the books for Lord of the Rings.

It scared her.

------------------

Frodo and the company had been through a great many hardships already. The Mines of Moria being the hardest one of all. He couldn't believe that Gandalf was gone. His best friend. His uncle Bilbo's best friend. He swallowed hard and then looked up, seeing Arabella. He smiled weakly and then rested his hand over the wound on his arm; it was throbbing at the moment. He swallowed hard and then looked to the land that was in front of them. It was beautiful, he would give it that. But, they didn't know what lay inside the hauntingly gorgeous woods.

He looked over to his side, hearing water running loudly and saw that there was a waterfall not too far away. He was glad that there were strong rowers at this point. He shook his head and then looked back to the land. They would be getting out soon, he knew that. He didn't know if he was ready to fight again, though. He was getting tired... Getting weak. He had to make a decision soon, that he had been thinking about for a long time.

She still dreamt about it sometimes.

The chanting of the orcs and the beat of the drums, the way that she had forgotten that Frodo survived the attack by the cave troll. For just one moment, when she had watched him struggle for breath after being stabbed, Allison had forgotten that she already knew the end of this part of the story. She had screamed his name and fought harder than ever, and it was only after she'd realized he was alive that she remembered. It still terrified her. The rest of the ordeal in Moria haunted her dreams as well--the wild terror she had seen in her companions' eyes as they had fled, the intense heat when the Balrog appeared before them, how she had screamed and sobbed until her throat was raw as she watched Gandalf fall.

In Lothlorien, Galadriel's mirror had revealed to her the truth about her family--killed by Orcs on orders of Sauron, because of their long-lasting friendship with the Elves. For she considered her Middle-earth family, the family she had created for a character in a story, to be her true family now. The real world was a blur, odd memories that would be triggered at the strangest times.

Now they traveled on the Great River Anduin, not speaking. Allison sat with Aragorn, Sam, and Frodo in the first boat, while Boromir followed with Merry and Pippin and finally Legolas, Gimli, and Amara. As they rowed along, Allison let one finger trail along in the chilly water, her brow furrowed in confusion as she tried to decipher the writing in the Elvish spellbook Lady Galadriel had given her. It was practically impossible, even simple spells like summoning objects. She shut the book with a thump and glared into the water. "It's hopeless," she said. "I'll never learn this on my own. Not without Gandalf." Her eyes flickered to Frodo, who was watching her, and then to his shoulder. "Are you all right?"

----------------

At times, it was still difficult to believe. Legolas felt as if he might wake up one morning and Mithrandir would be with them again, the events of Moria being nothing more than a hellish nightmare. Their visit to the Woods of Lothlorien had revived both their bodies and their spirits, but outside of its protection the grief had begun to set in again. There was a new air to the Fellowship that couldn't be shaken--one of despair.

He glanced back at Amara, who had been silent since they had set out this morning. She looked so heartbroken that it almost hurt. He had tried to comfort her as best he could, but even that didn't seem like enough sometimes. "Take courage, my love," he said quietly.

Megan sighed a bit, as she listened to what Legolas had to say. She slowly looked over to him and smiled weakly. "Courage is hard to find in these dark times..." She said softly and then rested her head down on his shoulder, staring ahead at the woods. After they docked, she slowly got up and walked onto the rocky beach, carefully. She held onto him tightly and looked around slowly.

She felt like something terrible was going to happen.

---------

Frodo heard what Arabella said and took a deep breath, shrugging. "My shoulder is hurting..." He said softly and then smiled reassuringly to her. "I'll be fine. And about the spell book... You never needed Gandalf." He added softly.

They made it to the land and then he got out carefully. He took Arabella's hand and kissed it lightly, before helping her down onto the shore as well.

Allison shook her head, smiling sadly at Frodo's attempt at a compliment. "You don't have to lie to me," she said. "But thank you. And Frodo, you should have told me your shoulder was hurting you again!" Allison she exclaimed. "Hold still," she said, taking hold of his other shoulder with one hand. The other she placed right above where she knew the wound to be. She murmured her healing spell before he could stop her and watched as the blue light shone out of her hand once again. She smiled at him. Her healing had improved, though she knew she could never have the power to fully heal Frodo. Her magic could only provide temporary respite from the pain. Afterwards, she felt weary, but in no danger of fainting again. See, Gandalf? she thought. I'm improving.

Her breath caught in her throat when Frodo kissed her hand, and she looked into his eyes for several moments. He confused her so much these days! Some days he would be affectionate, like this, the others he behaved more distant. She supposed it was something to do with the Ring.

She walked past him and onto the shore, setting down her bag and settling herself into the most comfortable position she could manage on the rocky ground. She was so tired...

--------

Legolas held Amara tight as they stepped onto the shore. Something wasn't right. He glanced around worriedly, his eyes sharp and on the lookout for any signs of life other than themselves. So far, nothing, but...

Gimli was complaining about the next stage of their journey, but Legolas hardly noticed. He strode over to Aragorn. "We should leave now."

(Movie dialogue time! Yay! I had to look up which order these lines were in, it confused me!)

Megan stayed close to Legolas, as they got onto the shore. She took a deep breath and cuddled against him, biting her lower lip. She looked up into his eyes and rested her hands on his chest. She kissed his cheek softly and then got her bow and arrows ready or battle, just in case something happened.

She didn't understand why she had such a bad feeling about this area. She bit her lower lip and tucked some hair behind her pointed ear. She looked over to Boromir cautiously and swallowed hard, knowing that he was going to be the problem. "Watch your back..." She said to Boromir.

Not knowing why she felt this way kind of creeped her out. But, she went with her gut feelings.

----------

Frodo watched Arabella closely and saw Sam standing by his side. He was always so loyal. That's one thing that Frodo could always count on. Taking a deep breath, Frodo heard Amara speak to Boromir and raised an eyebrow. "Why did she say that?" He asked Arabella quietly and stayed close to her.

He wrapped his arm around Arabella protectively and looked around the woods, biting his lower lip. What was out there? Would the Fellowship be okay?

(Sorry, it took so long to reply back. I was at a Dodger's game! D:)

Allison watched Megan uneasily as the elf made ready her bow, as if she was anticipating an attack. She glanced around, the serene surroundings suddenly feeling threatening and unsafe. Her eyes widened as she overheard her friend's words to Boromir. She agreed with them, but wasn't quite sure why.

"I don't know," she admitted to Frodo as his arm came around her. they both watched the woods with a mixture of curiosity and fear. Who was out there? Was it Gollum? Or something worse?

"I've got a bad feeling about this."

---------------

"Something draws near," he explained to Estel, unable to express his feelings any more clearly. "I can feel it." Couldn't Estel sense it as well? Something was not right--everyone, to a certain extent, seemed to feel it. So why was Estel insisting upon only doing things his way? You are not king yet, mellon nin.

He drew closer to Amara, his eyes flickering back and forth as he gazed through the trees. "You can sense it too, can't you?" he breathed.

Megan heard what Legolas said to Aragorn and then took a shaky breath, staying close to Legolas. "Yes... Something is going to go terribly wrong." She said to him softly and looked up into his eyes, before looking over to the forest. She bit her lower lip and then slowly started walking towards it. "Come... We have to keep moving." She said to them softly, keeping her bow and arrow ready by her side, just in case.

She slowly walked deeper into the forest, swallowing hard. She needed to keep her guard up and not get hurt this time. She wouldn't put that on Allison again. Looking around, Megan saw large statues of heads of the kings of old. She looked up in wonder and gasped a bit, placing her hand on one of them. It was a beautiful sight, indeed. But, looks could be deceiving.

---------

Frodo listened to what Amara and Arabella said and then followed closely behind Amara. He was getting a little nervous about this area, but there was nothing that they could do. They had to keep going. There was nowhere else for them to go, anyhow. Still having his arm wrapped around Arabella, he kept her close. He didn't want anything bad happening to her.

He looked over to his side and saw Boromir eying the Ring that was attached to his necklace, so he quickly put it beneath his shirt. This action made Boromir glare a bit and then walk ahead of him faster. Frodo shook his head and then looked forward, not liking what was going to happen.

This is wrong, Allison thought as she and Frodo followed Legolas and Amara. Behind her, she heard Merry offer to go fetch some wood for a fire, and Boromir agreed, setting off with him. This isn't how it happened... What was she thinking? How could this be wrong? This wasn't how what happened? Allison couldn't help but think she'd seen these events unfold before, only differently. But how could she have? In some dream, perhaps?

On a whim, she dashed back to where she had dropped the bag of her belongings and put it back in one of the boats. "Just in case," she told Frodo before joining him at his side again, following the others. Aragorn said they would cross the lake at nightfall to get to the eastern shore--no harm in being prepared for when that happened.

She stopped and gazed in wonder at the head of one of the kings of old, so huge compared to her Hobbit-sized frame it towered over her head. She glanced around uneasily. Legolas and Amara had vanished from her line of vision. "Where did they go?" she cried.

-------------

Under ordinary circumstances, Legolas would have noticed Boromir's odd behavior sooner. As it was, though, he was more concerned about whatever sinister presence lurked in the forest. What new hardships must they endure this time? "Stay close to me," he urged Amara. Focusing solely on her and trying to figure out just what they were up against, if anything at all, he didn't notice when he and Amara turned left and the Hobbits went right.

Megan was fixated on the statue, before she heard Legolas' voice. She took a deep breath and then nodded to him, staying close to his side. She rested her hand on his back and then swallowed hard, looking around around. Something was supposed to be happening right now and she wasn't sure what it was anymore. It frustrated her. She then looked over her shoulder and stopped dead in her tracks.

Where were the Hobbits? "Legolas... Arabella and Frodo are gone." She said to him softly and looked around nervously. She wasn't going to yell, in case there were some of the enemy around. She didn't want to draw any attention toward them.

----------

Frodo walked around with Arabella, finally noticing that Amara and Legolas weren't around anymore. He listened to Arabella and shrugged a bit, looking around more. "I haven't the slightest idea." He said softly and then continued walking, before he went ahead a bit. He stopped dead in his track, when Boromir stood in front of him.

Raising an eyebrow, he stepped back a bit. Boromir was too close to him for comfort. He looked over his shoulder to Arabella cautiously, before looking back to Boromir. Merry and Pippin came and stood beside Arabella, staring at Frodo and Boromir, as well.

----------

Boromir walked toward Frodo, hoping that maybe this time, Frodo would let him have the Ring. It would be used for good in Middle Earth. It didn't need to be destroyed.

"True-hearted Men, they will not be corrupted. We of Minas Tirith have been staunch through long years of trial. We do not desire the power of wizard-lords, only strength to defend ourselves, strength in a just cause. And behold! In our need chance brings to light the Ring of Power. It is a gift, I say; a gift to the foes of Mordor. It is mad not to use it, to use the power of the Enemy against him. The fearless, the ruthless, these alone will achieve victory. What could not a warrior do in this hour, a great leader? What could not Aragorn do? Or if he refuses, why not Boromir? The Ring would give me power of Command. How I would drive the hosts of Mordor, and all men would flock to my banner!" He said to Frodo, making sure that he understood that it wasn't for him.

It was for Minas Tirith. His home.

But, he could tell that Frodo wasn't convinced. This frustrated him.

(Oooh, mixing it up with some book dialogue! Very nice! XD)

Allison didn't take her eyes off of Boromir as he approached, watching him like an animal would a potential predator. She backed up, taking hold of Frodo's wrist and moving him with her. Somehow, Boromir's words didn't make sense. Not so much the intent behind them, no, that was clear as day. Yet his words sounded different than what Allison had...what, imagined? Impossible. Surely her magic was simply getting to her head again.

"We know what you want to do," she told Boromir. "But surely you understand that we cannot! There is no other way!"

----------

Legolas whirled around at Amara's words, scanning the forest. The Hobbits were indeed gone. Now what were they to do? To lose them under safer circumstances would be bad enough, but with this looming shadow in the forest, he was filled with fear for them.

"We go back to camp," he instructed Amara. "Perhaps they will be there as well. If not, we search for them. Come on," he told her, leading her back the way that they had came.
