"She is not an object, my dear man." Thoril stepped closer to the man, his height forcing him to tower over him. "Now, why don't you leave the lady alone?" His voice was tense, his eyes bearing down upon the man with a cold stare.

Rhavaniel turned from the barman she had been talking to in a low voice. She pushed a couple of bronze coins towards him and walked back to the table she had been sharing with Callie, holding her cidre gingerly. The smell of the human who was manhandling her friend was overpowering and her nose wrinkled under her hood.
"Is there a problem here gentlemen?" she asked coldly, her common speech accentuated with elvish.

The man quickly let go, muttering apologies as he backed away. Callie averted her eyes, feeling stupidly helpless. "Thank you." she said quietly, staring into her ale. What else was she to say? She had never had someone risk something like that for her.

Rhavaniel sat down with a snort, watching the drunkard go; "Are you alright?" she asked her companion.
Her gaze flicked to the man still standing at their table; her eyes glittered: "Will you have a seat, sir? Or are you going to loom?"

Thoril nodded at the dark haired woman's thank you and was vaguely aware of the second woman speaking to him. Thoril did not take his eyes off of the man until he had vacated the inn. He turned his attention to the ladies. "Oh I would not dare interrupt you. Enjoy your drinks ladies." Thoril bowed his head to them both before returning to his table. He leaned back in his chair, resting his eyes.

She watched the man, then made a quick decision and got up, walking quietly over to his table and taking a seat. "You did not have to do that, but I thank you just the same." she looked up, her brown eyes studying him curiously. "I would be honored to buy your next drink."

Thoril looked round at the dark haired woman, his brows raised. "It was no trouble my lady," he smiled warmly at her. "Did he hurt you?" he enquired, regarding her curiously.

Rhavaniel raised her eyebrows as Callie left her sitting on her own, but smiled sleepily as a dark haired man slid into the seat she had been sitting in.
"It's good to see you finally made it." he said with a restrained grin.
"Good to see you care," she winked.
"Who is your companion?" the human asked, lowering his hood and waving to the barkeeper.
Rhavaniel sighed "We met up a while back and came this way together. She's a kind soul. Very sweet."
"My goodness, you sound jealous," the human smiled as he accepted the ale.
"Tell me about this stone," she lowered her voice "where is it?"
He chuckled "Not here. There's a time and a place. But it is a seeing stone, of that I am certain,"The human, a ranger by his garb, followed her gaze towards the other table "Did you have any trouble? Old wise elf such as yourself?"
She turned cool eyes on him, but cracked a smile as she realised he was poking fun at her "No, nothing for your tiny human mind to mull over. Am I not paying you enough?"
"She's pretty, you know," he winked "And probably more pleasant. Maybe I should tell her about the stone."

She smiled "No, I shall no doubt have bruises from his grip, but that is only superficial." she met his gaze "My name is Callie. Callie Seastar." She took a sip of her ale.

Thoril looked round at Callie's companion, worried she had been abandoned. He shrugged his shoulders upon seeing another man sitting beside her. From the looks of it, he wasn't bothering her. Thoril looked back to Callie. "A pleasure to meet you Miss Seastar. My name is Thoril Pegason," he bowed his head to her before drinking from his ale.

"Nice to meet you." she offered a small smile before setting a coin on the table for the bartender for Thoril's next drink, then she smiled and dipped her head before returning to her table, where a man had taken her seat. "Is everything alright?"

"It was nice to meet you too." He said softly as he watched her walk away. He smiled warmly as he watched the trio from the corner of his eye. Thoril pulled out a leatherbound book and began to read, skimming through the pages excitedly.

"Mm!" exclaimed the man, rising with a mouthful of ale and placing his hand over his heart as elves did when they greeted kin "Revion Lainadan, at your service, madam,Saesa omentien lle and all that," he moved away from the table with a little bow "I meant no disrespect, my lady."
Rhavaniel spluttered with laughter, her cool demeanor cracked open in the inn's shady atmosphere: "Sit down, Revion," she grinned "You're disturbing the other guests and making a fool of yourself."
"Not at all, dearest, not at all- Thoril!" he called out, recognizing the man sitting a little way off "Thoril, am I disturbing you?"
Rhavaniel reached out an arm and yanked Revion into another seat, raising her hand in apology to the man who had helped Callie out a few moments ago "Hold your tongue, Revion- I apologize, sir, I believe my friend has had too much ale."

She blinked, surprised, and quite flustered. "I...uh...I...I think I need to go for a walk." her eyes were wide as she turned and walked woodenly out the door, feeling terribly awkward. She took a small road that she knew would lead to a little pond. She felt like a fool, and she didn't know why. She reached up, letting her hair down out of the braid, and it shimmered an auburn color as it cascaded down to her hips.

She blinked, surprised, and quite flustered. "I...uh...I...I think I need to go for a walk." her eyes were wide as she turned and walked woodenly out the door, feeling terribly awkward. She reached up, letting her hair down out of the braid, and it shimmered an auburn color as it cascaded down to her hips.

Thoril looked up from his book and glanced at the trio. He paid particular attention to the man in their midst. "Indeed you are not Revion!" He chuckled softly at the man, raising his pint of ale to him before drinking from it. Thoril's eyes came to rest on Callie who had suddenly become very awkward. He watched as she stood and left the inn. Curious... He thought. Thoril stood and bowed to Rhavaniel and Revion. "I shall go and check on her." He tossed a satchel of coins to them. "Have some more drinks. I shall return soon." He retrieved his book and pulled on his gloves. He bowed to the couple once more before heading out the door. Looking at the floor he picked out Callie's footprints and followed them with ease.
