After crossing the mountains Legolas and his companions (completley oblivious to their tracker) headed straight for Rivendell. One night as they were bedding down, Saelbeth was keeping watch while Silinde and Galdor slept. Legolas tried to sleep but something kept nagging at him. He knew not what but because of it he couldn't sleep. He remembered the pleading look in Aranelwen's eyes. He shook his head, he had done the right thing. This was no place for a girl, especially his cousin! Then Saelbeth quietly stalked over to him and said "We have company." Legolas reached for his bow but before he could string it a figure came into the light.

Eowyn walked through the halls of the stony corridor, inside her Uncle's castle. She longed to go beyond the walls of this land. She wanted to explore the outskirts of the area and just be free. But, that wasn't possible when her Uncle was so out of shape and could barely move. She stood outside, letting the wind whip through her hair. She looked over the town and sighed. She wrapped her arms around herself, and then smiled a little. She knew that someday, something special would happen here.

Arwen was sitting in her room, reading a book. She couldn't get her mind off of Aragorn. She hadn't seen him in so long, and it was making her heart ache. She sighed and closed her book. She slowly stood up from her chair, and put away the book. She walked over to her mirror and looked at her reflection. She slowly ran her fingers over her necklace. She felt her eyes water.

"Aranelwen!" was the name that all four elves spoke in disbelief, Legolas cursed under his breath at her appearance.
"What are you doing here!" he demanded
"The same thing you are!" she retorted
"You weren't supposed to come!"
"Since when did I obey your orders?"
"When you served my mother as a maid, but that was before we found out who your grandparents really were."
"Okay, After that! Legolas, you must let me come with you now! You can't send me back alone!"
"She's got a point" Galdor dared to say.
"Yes Legolas, let her stay!" This time it was Saelbeth, Aranelwen was much admired by Legolas' companions and they all had wanted her to come along.
"Alright" Legolas relented "But you must stay in Rivendell when we get there!"
Aranelwen gave him a shocked look but slowly nodded her head in agreement.

Arwen cleared her throat, trying to clear her mind of all of it's thoughts of Aragorn. She took a deep breath and walked out of her room to find her father, Elrond. She stood in front of his chamber doors, but stopped when she heard another voice, other than her fathers and his maids. Her eyes widened when she recognized the voice. It was Gandalf! She smiled a little and wondered why he was there. She stood up straight, and listened more carefully. After she had listened to about twenty minutes of the conversation, she quietly went back into her room. A council! What for, though? She started pondering and sat down on her bed.
