Aranelwen started walking back downt the hall towards her bedroom "What's that supposed to mean?!" she asked in mock offense.

"Hey, easy..I meant nothing by it. I just meant that maybe you might've misplaced it or something.." he commented, then realized that would probably come across wrong. "Valar, I'm just digging myself deeper and deeper.." he muttered under his breath.

Aranelwen heard him "Yes you are." she gave him a stern look and then burst into laughter. "Come on, it's gotta be around here somewhere." she opened the door to her room and stopped, the place was a total pit! She had torn her room apart looking for her cloak! "Oh great." she moaned.

"Eru..." Legolas muttered in surprise, seeing the large mess. "Well...looks like you found out it's not in here anywhere.." he said wryly.

"Don't even start with me." she said giving him an annoyed look. "And stop using Eru and Valar as a curse word! It's degrading!"

"Fine, fine..don't want to start up the war again, like last time you were here.." Legolas replied, shaking his head. "Now...where do you suggest we start?"

"hmm... you start over there" she pointed to her right. "And I'll start over here..." she began digging around in a pile of clothes.

Legolas nodded silently, then moved to the right and began searching through the various piles on the floor. Several times he'd thought he'd found the cloak, but would then figure out that they were nothing more than normal travel cloaks, some quite ragged.

Aranelwen had looked everywhere she could think of and then she suddenly smacked her forehead. Walking over to a tall wardrobe she opened it and the first thing she saw was her cloak! "I can't believe I just did that." she muttered to herself. Then pulling it out said flatly "I found it, now let's go before your siblings leave without us!" she moved quickly out of the room hoping Legolas wouldn't give her grief over it.

((You know, this is disturbingly like my real life. LOL!)))

Legolas looked at her, and shook his head. "Knowing them, they've already left.." he muttered to himself and followed her out of the room, for once not even thinking about commenting on what had just happened.

Aranelwen ran down the stairs and out into the courtyard where her other horse was saddled and waiting. She stowed all her gear in the saddle bags and put the cloak on.

Legolas found his horse waiting as well, then saw that his brother and sister were nowhere to be seen. "Yep, they left without us, after all.."

Aranelwen sighed. Now they would have to catch up to Mierwyn and Callon. This was just like them to! A bit frustrated she mounted her horse Suldal
"Well," she whispered to him "lets hope your name, Wind Foot, is true, we have some catching up to do." then louder she said to Legolas "Are you ready to give chase Cousin?"

After mounting Sulravan, Legolas turned to Aranel and nodded. "Indeed, I am." he replied, before turning Sulravan and nudging him into a gallop, and taking off into the trees.

Aranelwen urged her horse forward, following Legolas. She hoped they would catch up with the others soon...

After a few minutes of riding, Legolas noticed something out of the corner of his eye and turned his head to look, but it was gone. That's odd.. he thought, and brought his horse to a halt in a clearing, and started looking around.
