Lilaine turned back to Alendriel. noticing that she was barely conscious. Lilaine pulled out a potion that could keep someone awake when they needed it. it was mainly used for guards who had to stand watch at night. Lilaine got Alendriel to drink some of the potion.

Alendariel's eyes flew open, her mind thrust back into consciousness. She gasped in pain at the wound in her left shoulder. She grimaced as she attempted to move it. Her skull pulsed with pain.
"I am holding you all up." she said through gritted teeth. "You and Maralyn should go on ahead. Leave me here. I will only slow you."

Lilaine shook her head. " we will not leave you, we will have no one to command the army, then we would be helpless." Lilaine said and then helped Alendriel up and get somemen to bangage her up and put her on a horse. as soon as the men took Alendirel, Lilaine went looking for Maralyn.

After several minutes of searching, Maralyn caught sight of her friends. Heaving a sigh of relief that they were both alive, she hastily made her way towards them, stepping around the many dead bodies of both orcs and elves.

When she reached the two, she immediately saw that while Lilaine appeared to be unharmed, Alendariel was obviously in need of a healer. Maralyn knelt by them, her eyes piercing Lilaine's. "Are you a healer?" she asked. Anything would do at the moment.

Lilaine shook her head no. " but my mother was. i have this potion stuff that may help. i just gave it to her." Lilaine said. she looked at Maralyn to see if she had any wounds. "are you alright?"

Maralyn nodded. "I was lucky...unlike many others." She sighed faintly, biting her lip. It was still noon, but the sun would go down in a few hours, and who knew when the orcs would make their next attack?

"I can heal myself." she said, waving one of the healers of the army off. "I didn't spend twenty years studying it for nothing." she managed to say between breaths. She placed a hand on her shoulder and, using the power of the Vala, healed herself. The wound disappeared, the pain slowly fading. She attempted to repair whatever had caused the horrible headache, but found it was nothing physical. She sighed. Magic. Wonderful. She straightened herself on her mount, and turned to the army. "Move on!" she commanded.

Maralyn watched as Alendariel healed herself. She had often seen the healers in Rivendell use the power of the Vala to heal wounds, but the sight never failed to fascinate her.

"Are you sure you will be all right?" she asked as Alendariel commanded the army to move on.

Lilaine swung up on her horse that survived. she looked at Maralyn and shrugged. she followed Alendriel

Alendariel nodded, trying to clear her face of emotion. "I shall be fine." she ignored the ache in her head as she brought Galadelen into a full gallop.

Lilaine rode next to Maralyn. " i don't think she should be on a horse riding so fast." she said as the wind wiped her hair across her face.

Alendariel heard fragments of conversation from behind her. She heard the doubt in the voices of the troops. She refused to acknowledge them as she continued to gallop ahead, the troops following the frenzied pace.

"If she thinks she can ride, then let her ride," Maralyn muttered. Personally, she agreed with Lilaine, but she was not about to go against Alendariel's decision. She clicked her tongue and lightly kicked the horse's side, urging it on to greater speed.

Alendariel glanced back as the captain rode and joined her. "Are you sure you're all right?" he questioned.
Alendariel sighed. "Yes, I'm sure."

Lilaine watched Maralyn. she looked around now being very careful of their saroundings. she hoped that Alendirel would be ok...she was a stubborn person...
