Lorwen watched Venessiel leave after Dagnir. A group of medics walked in after they left. They were carrying Kanninwe.
"What happened?" she demanded, eyes wide.
They told her to leave, and that they needed there consontration to help her. Sill worrying, she left to the stables to check Silimaran.

The sun was rising.The first beams warmed Kanninwe's face.For first time since she touched the Palantir she felt no more cold.Slowly she opened her eyes and she saw not shadows but light.
The General got up and sat on the bed.She tried to remember what happened after she saw the horrible vision in the Seeing Stone.Kanninwe look at her hand and noticed a small scar on it-exactly where she was holding the Palantir.In this moment the door opened.Ariana,Kanninwe's maid,entered the room.When she saw the General awake she cried out:

"My lady,you are awake!But why you got up!You must stay in bed to rest!"
"I'm fine,Araiana,don't worry!"Kanninwe smiled."Please tell me how many days have passed since I'm in bed"
"5 days,my lady.."
"5 days!"
"Yes-you were very sick my lady.And I think you need more rest.."
"No,I've rested enough."said Kanninwe."Now if you excuse me,I'll dress up and I'll go to see my men"
"But,lady!"
"This is an order,Ariana!Leave!"
Ariana turned opened the door.Kanninwe looked at her and said:
"I'm sorry,Ariana.I don't know why I said that..I wasn't right..Forgive me"
"Everything is fine,my lady.There's nothing to forgive.You are worried about your men and I understand that."Ariana smiled at the General.
"Thank you Ariana.Now will you do me a favor?Please tell Magdil that I'm recovered and ask him to wait me at the barracks"
"As you wish,my lady"said Ariana,she bowed and left the room.

Kanninwe took her armour.Before she went out she put some gloves on.She didn't wanted anyone to see the scar on her hand

Dagnir swung his axe at the dummy,and it fell from his shaken hand. This simple bit of excercise had left him sweating and weak. Those wounds had been worse than they looked he thought. "Oh well, fight through it" he said to himself, and picked up Heartrender.

Venessiel stepped out of the stables and just wanted to leave Amon Sul again, when the soldier closed the gate.
"Hey! Open it again! I want to go out", she shouted.
The soldier just shook his head. "No, you won't go out. It's forbidden for you."
"Are you kidding? You cannot forbid me anything!"
"I am just acting on orders."
"Who told you to lock me in this ... fortress?", she asked, getting angrier with every second.
"Dagnir, my lady."
Venessiel turned around and walked towards the training ground. As she didn't find Dagnir, she grabbed one of the soldiers arm.
"Where is he? Where is Dagnir?"
The soldier shook his arm to get rid of her hand and then answered: "He went to the stables. What is wrong with you?"
Without answering Venessiel went straight towards te stables and entered them with a loud "Dagnir!".
One horse whinnied, some other horses pawed insecurely.
The man on the other side of the stable turned around.
Venessiel reached him with only a few fast steps and asked him angrily: "Why did you tell the soldiers to lock me here? It is my decision to leave whenever I want!"

Lorwen was firing her bow at some targets when she saw Kanninwe leave her building. Dropping her bow, she ran over.
"Kanninwe thank god your alright," she said, "We were begining to think you were never going to wake up."

"Lorwen!Good to see you again"said the General and smiled."Can I ask you something?Please call Maetdir and Dagnir in the West Citadel.We need to discuss many things about the defense of the fortress.Will you do this for me?"
Lorwen nodded.
"Thank you,Lorwen!I always knew I can count on you"
In this moment Magdil came.
"General Kanninwë!You are awake!"
"Yes,Magdil,I am"said Kanninwë,then turned to Lorwen."Go now and find them.I'll wait for them in the Citadel along with Magdil."
Kanninwë and Magdil turned and went to the Citadel.

While they were walking,Kanninwë asked
"Any news from our King,Magdil?"
"No,my lady.Can I ask why?"
"I'm expecting news from him.A messenger should arrive soon.But I'm glad I woke up before the messenger's arrival."
"Hmm...You saw something in the Palantir haven't you,Kanninwë.That's why you are so worried."
Kanninwë was silent for a minute.She knew that Magdil had right.Trying to avoid this question,the General said:
"You'll hear what I saw soon enough,Magdil..Soon enough."

Dagnir saw the raging trooper swing a slap towards his face. He caught it and said. "Soldier, I did not forbid just you. Every soldier here is kept in the fortress for the most part, save cavalry units and men who know this area, every blade of grass. We need Every man and woman here to prepare the defences and man the fortress, and not spend our strength harrasing outriders. got it?"
He threw down her hand and walked away.

Venessiel spit on the floor where Dagnir had just been and then turned around and walked towards her mare. As she reached her she whispered: "Plan B, Basalt, let us get the Palantir"
When they had last been in the Citadel, they forgot to lock the door.
Sometimes it is wrong to worry, Venessiel smirked.
With her coat she covered the stone, cold now, and ran into one of the left houses.
She put it onto a table and took the coat away. With the fingertips of her right hand she touched it. What she saw made her grin. They were near, not longer than a few days and they would reach Amon Sul.
Next she saw the Witchking of Angmar. She bowed her head.
"My lord.. The locked the door. It is forbidden to leave the fortress. I am not able to follow you into battle, but I will wait for you" The Witchking grunted angrily and then Venessiel heard a deep voice in her head "Wait for us. If you cannot find a way. But keep on trying." Venessiel nodded and then pulled her hands back. With her coat she covered the Palantir and put it back into the Citadel.

Lorwen nodded and walked off to find Maetdir and Dagnir. She found Maetdir by the armorys and relaided what Kanninwë had told her. He nodded and left for the Citadel.
Looking around she found Dagnir walking out of the stabbles. "Dagnir," she called and ran over to him, "Kanninwë wants you to meet her in the West Citadel."

Kanninwë was nervous.She couldn't stay on one place.She walked from the one side of the hall to the other.
"What's the matter,General?"asked Madgil.
"I'm worried about the defense of the fortress,Magdil.I'm not sure we can hold this rising storm."
In this moment a soldier came in the Citadel.
"General,a messenger has arrived,he says that the King has send him."
"I'm coming"
Kanninwë walked out the hall and went to the Gates.But there were only the sentries.
"Where's the messenger"asked the General.
"Outside,my lady.Should we let him in?"
"Yes,and hurry up.Open the gates!"

The heavy gates of the fortress opened and a horseman entered.The unmounted his horse and bowed.He was covered with dust-a certain sign that he was in a hurry.
"What your name soldier and who sent you?"
"My name is Kerin,my lady.King Arveleg of Arthedain sent me to bring you this." and the soldier took out a scroll from the saddlebags.Kanninwë opened the scroll and read it.Then she looked at the soldier and said.
"Thank you for bringing me this message and for the loyalty to the King,soldier.Please come with me." Kanninwë turned and headed to the Citadel again.The soldier followed her "I think you should be present at council.When should we expect the King's arrival?"
"On the fourth day after my arrival,General"
"Good.At least there's still hope,that we'll hold the fortress"

Dagnir was at the gate, whetting his axe blade and whistling an old woodsman's tune. He checked his mail shirt for any holes, and found none. His breatplate of Iron was washed clean of blood, orcs, wildmen and Dagnir's own. His helm was burnished to mirror sheen, and his vambraces and greaves were cleaned, then polished till Dagnir's face was visible in it. He checked his iron gauntlets, and replaced some of the studs buried in them. Dagnir took up Heartrender again, and began, with a small chisel and knife, to inscribe runes of power, chanting in a low voice in a strange tongue. He blew off small steel shavings, and he laid it by when he had finished. He took up his breastplate, and began to work on that too, carefully ensuring that the chant was perfectly said and the runes inscribed well. He worked industriously and over the course of several hours, had covered his breatplate in these minute runes, and he appreciated his handiwork. He saw the blood red stones hammered above his heart into his breastplate, the marks of his service. On his vambraces were various campaign marks, and the number of them showed his veterancy. He was a decorated warrior of many battles, and harder than forged iron. The First Company had been his for many years, and he was like a brother to the soldiers in there. As he became lost in these thoughts, he had an idea. Knowing that he would not impress on Kanninnwe the urgency of his message, he walked away from the trestle table his gear lay on, and took a pen and some paper. He quickly wrote a message, and sealed it with his own personal seal. He gestured to a soldier nearby, a youth barely out of his teens and gave him th eletter "Gather my sergeants and give Sergeant Arthan this scroll. I will be back presently."
The trooper bowed his head and hurried away. Dagnir returned to the small trestle table, and armoured himself. He took his gauntlets and placed them over his fists, and Heartrender he took and placed it into a belt loop.His tools he stowed in a horses' saddlebag, and he rode out of the gate with all speed.
