Mirima nodded at Taurvantian's suggestion. "Yes, a good idea," she agreed. She smiled at Ellethwen, awaiting her response. Her hand still rested on the maiden's shoulder; something about Ellethwen's posture as she rested against the tree suggested that most of what was keeping her upright was Mirima's grip.
"Alright." Ellethwen stepped away from the tree, trying to regain her balance alone. She hated feeling so weak. She had put all her energy into the battle, all her energy into trying to keep alive in the surrounding mayhem. "Thank you, Taurvantian."
She pushed a few black strands of hair back from her shoulders. Mirima gently removed her hand from the Lorien maiden's shoulder. Ellethwen felt slightly faint; she hoped that Taurvantian, in helping her reach the king's courts, would not consider her frail. She glanced at Mirima, who was smiling.
Perhaps it would be easier for Taurvantian to love someone like Mirima, an ever-cheerful princess with no complicated qualities about her. A maiden who excelled in battle but did not despise it, a maiden who kept to one demeanor and did not seem to switch almost constantly between cold and vaguely warm.
Ellethwen put her hand on Taurvantian's arm. Why was she so suddenly concerned about what he thought of her?
"Have a safe journey," Mirima said. "Though I doubt any goblins will come back soon after the fight we put up against them."

Sylied took Deawen to the healers and then went over to see how Legolas was doing.

He had a few cuts and bruises but he wanted to make sure his siblings were allright first.

He spotted legolas walking and jogged to catch up to him.

"How are you brother?" he asked.

Thranduil felt the evils of the forest subsiding and knew that the Mirkwood Armies had once more kept the evil at bay, but this still worried him because the goblins and yrch grew more daring, coming closer and closer to the fortress. It would only be a matter of time before they became so bold that they stormed Mirkwood's halls and he didn't know if they were prepared enough to face such a battle.

Walking to the entrance of the stone walls he saw a group of elves coming towards him, and one man and a wizard that looked quite upset, or worried... it was hard to discern exactly what Gandalf was thinking at times.

---------------

Legolas kept his eyes on the ground, not wanting anyone to see the pain he was in. He had to use every last bit of strength to simply walk on his injured leg. That was until his brother came to his side and he knew he couldn't lie to the elder elf.

"I am not well, I fear the goblins blade was posioned"

Megildurion had liped away from the healers with a bandadged leg and a crutch, which he had dicarded, preffering to use his spear instead. However, he still had yet to be assigned. Gritting his teeth against the pain, he limped forward until he was level with Taurvantian. "You fought well there." He complemented, nodding to the young elf. "Do you know where we are destined for?" He asked, looking at Taurvantian quizzically.

Sylied's eyes held a glint of worry at Legolas' words, but inside he knew his brother was strong enough to survive.

"Come on," Sylied said, helping Legolas along. "You better get in to the healers."

-------------------------------------------------------

Zekiera looked around... he wasn'tsure egsactily what was going to happen next, and he wasn't one to go about inquiring about such things either.

He prefered to watcha nd wait... to observe.

He walked over to the mirkwood army and began helping them clean up the battle field.

Gandalf cast a worried look back at Thranduil's son as he walked through the entrance of the king's refuge. He stood before the elven lord eyes level with his. They were not so blue now, but a slate grey that betrayed his anxiety, although he supposed that his composure was failing anyway.

"See to your son, my friend," he said clasping the man's shoulder in a companionable motion. "My news is important, but I know well that a parent's anxiety would do me no good when seeking cousel with you." He gave him a kind smile and nodded. "I shall see myself to my rooms? I do not suppose they have changed since I last stayed here."

-------------------------

Maethoriel had opted out of entering the halls. There were other things that she could occupy her mind with. Like looting bodies, that sounded like a decent idea.

Not only that, but if she got to survivors first she could send them a proper send off. She sneered at the thought and a strode to where bodies littered the grounds and made her way through them with such ease and such a terrible leer that she resembled more a death sending than a half-elf.

Mirima took one last look around the field of battle before eventually following Sylied towards Legolas, who appeared to be making his way to the courts of their father the king.
The mention of the poisoned blade sent a small chill down her spine. She darted to Legolas's side so that he was between her and Sylied. "Curse those wretched yrch," she said. "You'll be alright, Legolas, as long as we can get you to the healers as quickly as possible."

Ellethwen looked up as Megildurion came over towards them and addressed Taurvantian. At once she knew that he was a Lorien elf, like herself. She could not be sure if she had ever met him before back home. She fixed her dark gaze on him, her hand still on Taurvantian's arm to keep herself steady on her feet.
"We're going to the court of King Thranduil," she informed Megiludurion before Taurvantian could reply.

Many stories Lalaith had heard over the Elves and their dwelling in the Mirkwood. One even more implausible than the other.. About an entrance inside a tree covered hill of which the gates were sealed by magic. Underneath the halls was the clearest undergroundstream and in the realm there would only beauty and splendor.
All fool's talk Lalaith had always thought, she did not only believe there was no such magnificant place, but she also knew that most folk of Rhovanion had never set a foot inside the Mirkwood.

But the woman could not alter her opinion for she was not able to admire all the beauty as she was brought in. The bed on which she lay was soft and their sheets cool but she did not realise that. Her mind was dim, her vision blurry, her looks feverish. She distinguished the shapes of a man beside her and therefor she spoke, in her voice a hint of despair.
"My lord.. my village. They died.. a terrible illness." Her hand found his arm as she deperately tried to explain herself. "You will understand.. care."

Thranduil had every intention of doing business with Mithrandir, he was the Mirkwood King and it was his duty to do so, but he was also a father and seeing his youngest son in pain killed him and it was hard to concentrate when he saw poor Legolas limping. Gandalf must have noticed his worry because he felt a hand on his shoulder and comforting words.

"I am sorry I could not be of use for you right now Mithrandir, and yes your chambers are just the way you like them." He smiled slightly, nodding his head in thanks to the elderly wizard as he moved forward to his son who was being held up by his eldest son and his daughter.
------

Legolas felt a great weight lifted off of him and he realized that he was now flanked by his brother and sister, both of which had an arm around him making it much easier to walk and a lot less painful. He gave each of them a smile.

He wasn't one to ask for help, as one could see from the way he had acted when the man, Aragorn, had tried to offer his services, but Legolas knew his limits and he knew not to cross them.

"I was careless, I should have been more watchful..." Of course Legolas would always take the blame, it was just the elf he was... very slowly they made their way up to the gates of Mirkwood where his father awaited.

Megildurion winced and nodded at the elf woman. "It is good, then. I have come here to fight. Perhaps there I can join a border patrol. Or has the safety of the Golden Wood changed since I left?" He asked, noting her style of dress. His slit heel screamed in protest, but he pushed the pain stubbornly aside and kept his pace with the other two elves.

Mirima's expression brightened as she and her two brothers reached the entrance of the courts. She could see her father approaching them. "Ada!" she cried. She still had one arm around Legolas to support him, so she could not dart forward as she usually did. "We were so glad when we saw your troops coming to help us."

Ellethwen was not far behind Mirima, with her two companions. She walked along slowly, still extremely tired. She listened to Megildurion speak, and her attention was alerted a little more as she heard him mention their homeland.
"Lothlorien's safety is unchanged," she replied. "The lord and lady keep up regular watch on the boarder."

Taurvantian kept a firm yet gentle hold on Ellethwen. Weak and battle-wearied as she was, he knew that she needed his support. There was a way that he could help her more effectively... But then he looked away as a strange elf approached. He bowed his golden head in acknowledgment of his presence, and then opened his mouth to speak. "Thank you," was all that came out of his mouth before he heard Ellethwen answering for him. He nodded, feeling that he should still answer somehow.

Sylied helped Legolas to the healers and then turned to his father. "What has made these goblins so brave?"

Maethoriel entered the halls reluctantly. She held no great love for the one who ruled over them, but then again, she held no great love for most. Once again, the woman was given a wide birth by most of the healers and quite a few guards - the guards of the elves were harder to intimidate than those of the humans. It presented a problem, in such an enclosed space they could feel the aura around her was edged and should be watched cautiously.

"Caves..." she smiled and looked over her head admiring the arching halls - she may not like her stay, but even she could appreciate decent architecture. Her eyes drifted for a moment as a few old memories were brought to life once more.

Megildurion nodded. "I am glad. Goheno nin. My name is Megildurion, son of Turwaithion." He said, introducing himself. He glanced at the halls as they entered. "My father spoke of caves such as these: in Nargothrond, he said." Megildurion said in awe. He had never seen such a structure in his lifetime, and it was truly magnificent by any standards.

The splendour of the halls was awe-inspiring. Ellethwen looked around as they walked in. Not far away from them she could see Mirima, who was standing with one of her brothers and an elf who Ellethwen guessed was King Thranduil. Mirima turned slightly and waved, with one of her bright smiles. Ellethwen inclined her head in return.

"Mae govannen, Megildurion," Ellethwen said. "My name is Ellethwen." She fell silent, guessing that perhaps Taurvantian would wish to speak to their new companion also.
