Ruth Ann politely agreed and continued to squint, trying to get a closer glance at the moving figures in the rocks.

Reniel froze as she heard a sound behind her. She turned her horse slowly. Five bandits were making for their horses, holding two men captive.

Reniel glanced around for aid. Seeing no one immediately, she sighed. "This goes against all my better judgement..." she muttered, and threw herself at the preoccupied bandits.

She ran the first bandit through, then parried a clumsy blow from the second. Swiftly disarming him with a jerk of her blade, she decaptitated him. The third swung at her from behind, eyes wild with fear. She blocked his first attack easily, then embedded her dagger deep into his throat. The fourth dropped his weapon and mounted quickly. But not quickly enough. Grasping the hilt of another concealed dagger, she threw it and met her mark. He fell from the horse screaming. The last bandit appeared to be the leader. He also clutched the second prisoner, the first having long since ran back into the town. The bandit leader held a knife to the throat of the petrified villager.

"Let him go." she said threateningly. "Let him go now."

"And why should I do that?" he asked darkly.

In a blur of motion, she grabbed the villager and hurled him onto the horse while she flew off of the horse's back at the bandit.

He raised his sword just in time to block a hard blow from Reniel. He swung his blade, aiming for her neck. Ducking, she hacked off his left arm. He screamed in agony, and retaliated by slicing a large gash into her arm.

Reniel winced before stabbing her blade between two of his ribs at directly at his heart. As the bandit died, she turned back to the villager. "You are free to go." she told him breathlessly.

"Thank you." he said, and dismounted. He ran as fast as he could back towards the village.

Reniel remounted with considerable difficulty, intent on finding a comrade.

Aria went to Eruriana, " Do you need help?" she asked helpfully.

"That," Ruth Ann said as she commited to a death stare at one of the figures. Pulling out her bow and arrow, Ruth Ann shot the figure down to which they both heard an immediate screech.

Rain sighed.
"Not at the moment. The blockades are up, and the villiagers are ready for another attack. We just need to wait for the people that went out scouting to get back. Then I want to send a few to warn nearby villiages..." she explained...

Reniel rode up to Eruraina. She sighed, wiping a droplet of sweat from her brow. "Is that all of them?" she asked.

Rain turned to Reniel.
"That's all that I know of. We need the scouts to arrive back until I can do anything else. So all we can do with wait, and hope."
