"And I do not hope that your good longbow shall have to come into service again during your stay, either," Taurvantian answered Ellethwen, inclining his head toward her. "I regret that your first glimpse of the King's halls is under these gruesome circumstances. Now, you are both travel-weary and battle-weary..." His eyes, irresistibly and mysteriously drawn to her, were filled with a longing heretofore foreign. He forced himself to look away, sensing uneasiness in the way she looked away from him. He looked back at Megildurion as he spoke. "Then I should hope that you have plenty of time to heal before you are required to fight again." A grim smile took its place upon his face at the elder Elf's attempt at humor. "If only the circumstances of your arrival had been a little easier for you..." he mused. "You came to fight, yet even season warriors may be tired and taken off guard in these sudden attacks of the yrch. But nevermind that. We shall go and have a rest now, so that soon you will both be well enough to go and see the splendors of Mirkwood." The smile upon his face grew less serious and grim, and he glanced over at Ellethwen again. She looked so tired and weary; she needed to go to her chamber soon. This maiden, good fighter though she was, was not built for dangerous battles.

Ellethwen listened as Taurvantian spoke. Her hand still clasped the crook of his arm; she was very determined that she should not fall. She gathered a little strength to speak. "Yes, I think it would be a good idea if we found a place to sit down," she replied. Her gaze trailed towards the group that was making their way to the healers'. It could have been a lot worse.
What right had the yrch had to step foot in the forest? What right had they to spill the blood of the Mirkwood people? The unrestrained, animal hatred of the goblins saddened the Lorien maiden. She loved the forests, the quiet beauty of the trees, the rustling of leaves in the air, the sound of water trickling in the distance in some far-off valley. Nature spoke to her. That those... creatures... could disrespect all of that was too much.
She turned her head back to her companions. Suddenly, she saw Mirima coming over towards them.
"My brothers have gone to the healers," she told them. "Since there is nothing for me to do there - not being trained in the way of the healing art! - I thought I could help Taurvantian show you newcomers about the place! Or just pass the time of day while you rest, or something." She gave one of her sunny, dazzling smiles.
"We would be honoured for you to join us," Ellethwen replied. She wondered what it would be like to have Mirima's energy, to have that easy way of communicating with others. To smile as easily as she breathed.

[[I have arrived...]]
Aramel turned Ryninial's words over in her mind. She wondered how long it would be until her own home land was under attack, until Rivendell was no more than ashen ruins, strewn with the bodies of those she loved. "Then, I believe now, more than anything, that we must stay together in these dark times, despite the differences we may have." She offered a smile at her new-found friend, knowing that nothing could separate them now, for Ryninial seemed to be like a lost sister...
---------
Aragorn continued to stroke Lalaith's hair, realizing just how incoherent she was. The questioning would have to wait until a later time, when she could think straight. When she was ready to talk, he would gladly listen, but for now she needed to regain her strength. "Calm yourself," he repeated. "You will be taken care of, I promise you." His blue-gray eyes offered sympathy for whatever pain she was feeling, both mental and physical.

Megildurion aised his eybrows at th young Elf maid who had semingly appeared out of nowhere. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "who are your brothers? I am in need of healing, in haste, I am afraid." He said, his face giving all the explanation tha was needed.

Aramel's words rang very true in her ears. It was true, the times were growing dark and the evil, whatever it was, was growing bolder. Soon it would come a time when they would have to fight back, really fight for the freedom of Middle-Earth and it would be during those times that a strong alliance between realms and friends would be needed. Ryninial had just met this Aramel from Rivendell, but already she felt as if she had known the other for centuries... their differences bringing them together as it were.
"You are too right Aramel... we must build bonds now before the time is too late" They had finally arrived to the healing halls and she lead Aramel towards an empty bed, motioning for her to sit so she could properly dress the wound.
---------
Thranduil wanted nothing more than to be by his children right now, but he knew that as a King he had to make sure that his realm was safe, and so he left the healing chambers in search of the Wizard feeling that Gandalf held information he most desperately needed.
---------
Legolas felt his body begin to tremble as he lay back on the bed, bright eyes staring up at the darkened ceiling of the healing chambers, his breath unsteady. The poisons were wracking his frame and he feared that he would lose conciousness soon.
----------
A Mirkwood sentry ran through the bodies moving towards the home of Thranduil. He was on a mission to find the human that Thranduil had told him had the gifts of the valar with healing, he only hoped tha the would find this Aragorn before Legolas lost himself to the darkness.

Sylied sat by watching in silent nerviousness as the healers worked on Legolas. "Be strong, brother," Sylied said softly. "Stay strong."
-----------------------------
The battle field was clean and the bodies were burning away from the camp so the stench of goblin flesh would not haunt the battle-weary inhabitents of Mirkwood.
Zekiera stumbled away from the column of smoke that rose from the unstately sight and wearily made his way back tot he scene of the battle.
He walked across the blood stained grass and collapsed on the floor of the healing chambers with deep breaths and closed eyes He was not injured bad, but weary... mentaly and emotionaly. So much death could take a toll on even on those who escaped it's grasp.

Maethoriel had sat herself on the floor with a roll of bandages, a needle and thread. Like always the stubborn woman had refused treatment from healers and opted to do it herself. It was not because she liked being difficult, but she did like being in control. Boredom had also set in, and she needed to take her mind off the need to start trouble, not to mention her growing annoyance with the wizard who she had discovered was now next door to her. There was strange nagging in her mind that said he did that so he could keep an eye on her.
--------------------
Gandalf exited his rooms, all of his belongings - which consisted of a medium sized travel pack - laying on his bed still packed. He, of course was quite ready to continue his talk with the Lord of the land and hoped the worried father was as well.

Zekiera caught a glimps of the Wizard comming and the King. Surely they had more information than he had but perhaps they didn't have the same information. He listened to their conversation to see.

Mirima smiled at Megildurion. "My brothers are Princes Sylied and Legolas of Mirkwood," she replied. There was simple dignity in her words. "My name is Mirima." Her gaze turned to his wounded ankle. "Yes indeed! You must go to the healers as most of our party have done. You can't walk around with such a wound." She paused. "And I must admit Legolas's condition worries me, so I shall go too."
"If your brother is in as bad a way as he seemed at a glance, then he will need his family around him," Ellethwen said. "Shall we come with you? Of course, I do not wish to be a burden; I am hardly in any state to help speed anyone's healing process." Her last words were dry. She still needed to hold onto Taurvantian's arm, for her fatigue was still strong. Yet in her battle-wearied condition, she still managed to maintain her queenly posture, her steady dark blue gaze; tired, but beautiful, weak, but strong.

Taurvantian looked from Mirima to Megildurion, and then finally at Ellethwen. She seemed so weary... her hand was still softly clinging to his arm; she must be more weary than she let herself show. She was so cold... but ah, she was beautiful. Taurvantian tried to avoid looking at her too much, for he did not wish to embarrass her, yet those glimpses he did allow himself to take were inestimably sweet. A faint smile crossed his face at Ellethwen's last words. "After you've rested a bit, I don't see how anyone could not somehow recover after being in your presence." His gaze shifted to Mirima. "Is there a place we could take her to, a place where she might be able to rest for a while?"

Now what do you suppose he meant by that? Ellethwen asked herself, a little taken back by Taurvantian's words. She gave him a tiny smile before turning her dark gaze to Mirima.
"There should be some chairs somewhere," Mirima replied. "Maybe at the end of the hall. Anyway, Ellethwen, I said that I would find you a room." She smiled. "One of the very best that Mirkwood can offer! After all, it's only what you deserve. You were absolutely spectacular on the battlefield."
Ellethwen bowed her head. "You are very kind," she said. "But as I have said before, I can take no joy in such compliments. The earth cries when blood is spilt on it's green grass. But, princess, you are a very gracious host."
Mirima smiled. "The forests of Middle Earth have no greater friend than you, Ellethwen of Lorien," she said warmly. "Now! I shall go and see how my brother fares. I hope to see both of you soon." Her blue eyes gleamed at Taurvantian and Ellethwen before she turned in the direction of the healers' quarters.
Ellethwen glanced at Taurvantian. "Shall we depart on our quest for some seats?" she enquired.

The Wizard's words to thie king were as nothing more than a mist to Zekiera's ears, which still rung ominoiusly with the sounds of battle.
He gifted his task to the wind and followed on a dreary trail to find some food and water which his mind told him he hdearly needed.

Mirima walked into the healers' quarters. She gazed around briefly before her bright blue gazed fixed on Legolas, lying on one of the beds with Sylied by his side, trembling as the poison worked inside his body. She darted to his side.
"Legolas!" she whispered, stricken. She clasped his hand and glanced at Sylied.
"Curse those yrch ," she said.

Sylied clenched a fist behind his back, while putting his other hand on his sister's shoulder.
"He is strong... and our healers skilled."

Taurvantian bowed his head deeply as Mirima departed. He then tilted his head to look down at Ellethwen as she spoke. "Certainly, Ellethwen," he answered her. "Shall we check down toward the end of the hall for some seating?" He smiled, growing more courageous since she had smiled at him again. His pulse was fluttering, and his mind was racing. He tried not to think too much of her actions, knowing that it might have only been a mere sign of courtesy, but he could not help his increasing boldness.
