She mumbled, then opened her eyes slightly as she woke up. She yawned, covering her mouth. "Is it morning yet?" her voice was hardly above a squeak as she stretched.

''No, love. Not yet''
He leant to her and gave her a quick peck on the cheek before he spoke.
''How did you sleep?''

She frowned. Her dream had been strange. But then she shook her head. "Fine. Haven't you gotten any?" she let out another small yawn before sitting up and sliding her arms around him, her fingers tracing her name on his chest.

''No, love. I was otherwise occupied'' he said, fighting a grin as he remembered how he annoyed her as she slept.
''Did you dream at all?'' he was curious to know if she had any idea she had moved at all.

"I did...." her voice trailed off as she frowned again. What had it been? Did it mean something? She didn't know. She had been looking for something, but she didn't know what it was or why she was looking for it. She had been in a forest, then everything went dark around her but she had continued to search.

He waited, expecting her to tell him of her dream. Several seconds passed before Niko spoke, his tone sarcastic.
''Yes, very descriptive. I feel as though I were present'' He tapped her cheek lightly as if slapping her.

"It was just...strange." she said with a slight laugh. She looked out the window ruefully as the sun began to rise. "What are your plans today, love?" she turned her gaze back to him.

''My plans? I know ale will be prominent among them. Why do you not say our plans?''
He stood up and looked for a shirt, finding one he picked it up and turned back to her.
''We shall do something together''

She laughed. "Right, can't forget the ale." then turned sober. "You are able to go back in the sunlight, I can't. I really cannot imagine you wanting to stay in the dark." she looked around the room, then brightened. "I can continue the records!" she exclaimed. She had more to write.

He raised his eyebrow.
''You think that is exciting? You were more fun when you were asleep'' he said, tossing the cork he had used earlier at her.
He lay back down on the bed, stretching.

She huffed "Well, I could paint the baby's room..." she mused slowly. "Although it wouldn't be a good idea since it's too dark to see the color properly." she let out a heavy sigh.

Niko began to laugh at her, not entirely sure why. He left the room, still laughing loudly getting another bottle of ale and something else, which he kept hidden in his pocket.
Returning to the room he spoke, still laughing.
''Perhaps you could make me breakfast?Or be your kings servant for the day?'' he couldn't help but laugh louder at the look on her face.

She sighed and wordlessly got up, dressed, and went down to the kitchen to make him breakfast. Then at the smell of the food she wrinkled her nose at the nausea. She continued to cook, glancing out the window from time to time. "It's done, Niko." she called up the stairs. Then sat, lit a candle and sat at the table, continuing to write.

At her call he raced down the stairs and began to eat, realizing how hungry he was.
He watched her write as he ate, clearly sensing her feelings about not being able to go out in the sun. As he had felt once.
Smiling to himself he decided to put her out of her misery. But first, he would increase it slightly.
Finishing his food he
put on a glare at her he spoke, making sure the tone in his voice was harsh
''You call that meal fit for a king? It is not enough that you disobey me before but now you mock me as well?''

She continued her writing "You obviously liked it, you ate it fast enough. Now quit your grumbling and go out and meet with your people, they are waiting to know their king is safe." she didn't take her eyes from her writing, resigning herself to a life lived in the dark.

He let out a growl, as she did not even turn when she spoke to him. His eyes flashed red.
''You do not give me orders. It is their queen they should be worried about'' he said as he moved forward to her slowly, his eyes red.
