Before they met the royal household, Rissien pullled his brother aside, and guided him towards the only familier face in the room.

Rhavaniel tapped Meleths arm"There he is! Oh, I didn't realise..."
"Cousin!"Rissien grabbed her hand in a strong grip, nearly crushing it with the force. Wincing slightly, she withdrew it, and smiled.
Locien eyed Meleth suspiciously, before extending his hand to her.

Sadron smiled shyly at her "Elwen ..." His dark head bowed slightly, a smile on his serene face. With long fingers, used to playing the lute and writing, he held out the small flower; bowed again, and backed away.

Elwen had snapped out of her stupor with a slight shake of her head as Sadron had approached, and she managed a small smile and took the flower, then quietly said, "Thank you." before he had backed away. She then had to pointedly ignore curious looks from both of her brothers.

Sadron turned back to look at her again, then hurried over to where he saw his cousins, his sister and Meleth were gathered.
"Mae Govannen!"
The greetings began all over again...

It took some time for the cousins to greet each other, and Locien still beheld Meleth with an air of distrust, though he had not let go her hand.
Rhavaniel snuck off, as soon as Sadron returned, slipping off to do her rounds of the hall.

"Don't play the age car-..Mae Govannen. Age card with us, El."
"As you wish..Mae Govannen."
After a few more moments of arguing back and forth, among greetings, all three were finally excused from greeting duty, since most, if not all the guests had been greeted, and as a result, each went their seperate ways.

"Right... Anything? Potentualy [sp] dangerous?" Rhavaniel asked, standing next to a much taaller and heavier built elf.
"Nothing... I think we're nearly all here now."
She nodded, the reasuring cold feel of steel against her leg, reminding her that should there be any trouble, her knife experties- namely her hands- Could take out the problems if they arouse.

After slipping into one of the hallways leading from the main hall, Elwen adjusted the stem of the flower and put it behind her ear, and entwined part of it around her circlet so it wouldn't fall. Sighing inaudibly, she then slipped back into the hall, all the while avoiding her brothers' questioning gazes.

Meleth withdrew her hand, intrigued for a moment by Locien. Her black eyes searched his face for a moment before she said, "Elen sila lumenn omentielvo," and curtsied gracefully. "I see we share a common acquaintance." She smiled tentatively, wondering why he seemed so withdrawn.

Lorwen gave a sigh upon finding none of her friends. She needed to find someone to talk to or her mother would find someone for her. She scanned the room and after a second decided Elwen look nice enough to talk to. She walked up with a smile on her face mulling over what to say. “Mae govannen,” she greeted, “I’m Lorwen. Nice party isn’t it?”

Elwen jumped in surprise as someone spoke to her, then mentally berated herself and forced a smile. "Nice to meet you, Lorwen..I'm Elwen. And yes, it's quite a nice party.." she said, speaking quieter than normal as she fiddled with her sleeve absentmindedly.
