Personality: Strong-willed and dignified, she often masks her tender spirit behind an exterior of steel. However, she is extremely faithful and will do all in her power to defend all whom she loves and holds dear.

History: Born as a lady of the Mirkwood Court, her mother was slain by an orc brigade when Valaina was a young girl. Saddened by the lost of his beloved wife, her father became cold and distant-showing his daughter the way of the sword, but offering little love or affection. At a young age, she was proficient in both the sword and bow and often joined her elder brother Calanon on his hunting trips. To her he became both father and brother and she was close to him as she had never been to her father. On one fateful day, Calanon was mortally wounded in a skirmish when he saved his sister from an envenomed arrow. Despite her efforts, he soon fell to the shadow and she was left once again to mourn the passing of one whom she loved. After her brother’s death she sometimes traveled around Middle-earth, waging war against the dark forces, determined to make her brother proud.

The elven maiden was clad in an olive green tunic, her long raven hair blowing slightly in the breeze. “And as the days wear on she seems to do more of the latter.” she added with a sigh as her gaze turned toward he gathering soldiers. “Yet with or without hope, war looms on the horizon. We will ride to battle-even into the very jaws of death if need be." she said stubbornly.

Aragorn walked over to Eomer, "We are preparing to leave soon."

"I'll tell my men to get ready," said Eomer, walking off to tell the Rohirrim.

Aragorn then went over to Legolas to were he was talking to Valaina and Turwaithiel. "Legolas, we are going to be moving out soon, tell your men to prepare to leave."

Pippin ran up to Aragorn, who was discussing with Legolas and two other she-elves that Pippin didn't know, and asked, "Have you seen Merry? I haven't seen him yet today." Pippin and his best friend Merry, were now leaders of the hobbits, who were fired up to go and saved there beloved friends, Frodo and Sam.

Valaina smile at Turwaithiel. "As well as your courage, mellon nîn. It will be an honor to ride to war with you." she replied. She rolled her eyes at Merilin's comment, knowing full well the sharp tongue of the other she-elf. "We should be ready to depart." she stated quietly. "What are your orders, my prince?" she asked as she turned her attention to Legolas.
