*Raith smirked, though his eyes remained coldly focused on Ecthlion. He had remained dead still throughout the whole "assault", his steel breastplate absorbing all the blow from Ecthlion's fist.*
Apparently you don't know Lord Maleon well enough...
*Raith said, and left the meaning of that sentence hanging as he continued.*
Lord Maleon has sent me to you for two reasons; both to offer you an alliance, and to offer you my services as long as you need them. I will tell you this, Ecthlion; do not underestimate Lord Maleon, nor myself. You were moments away from making a grave mistake; and most likely your last.
*Raith just stood there, hand lightly resting on the pommel of his Nodachi, not overtly threatening at all. He awaited the response of Ecthlion; if there were to be any progression between them, Ecthlion would have to curb his hostilities between them...*

Azura from her lounge watched the display of testosterone it was impressive both opposites of each other. One hot tempered and quick on his feet the other calm and cool. Feeling in the mood extend her control over the two she got up and strutted towards them, she paused just inches away from the two. She slid her way between the two men a wave of a potent perfume washing over both men, it lingered for awhile even after she was to the doorway. She stepped into the bright light, her blue eyes watered in defense against the harsh light. She stood just outside the doorway waiting for the two to figure out some plan or agreement.

Ecthlion did not intend to hurt Raith in any way with his punch but merely used his breastplate as a smooth surface so his hand could swivel while placing his blade against his neck. But he could not lie, his knuckles still stung from the blow."One can never be too cautious in our environment. And there is a difineing difference between 'wary' and 'hot tempered'." Ecthlion stared hard at the man before him. He was taller by a few good inches, but Ecthlion did not back down at all and matched his stare. He smirked at Raith's response at how Ecthlion did not know Maleon well enough. The Lord had probably expected Raith to walk right in and probably expected Ecthlion to be on his toes and threaten his messagner. But everything Maleon did revolved around his own personal gain. What did he have to gain by sending Raith to his service? "And what would you're master have me give in return for your services? A percentage of our... 'earnings'?" Ecthlion smiled and remained calm until he began to smell a perfume. He knew it to be Azura's and wisely took a casual step back. He waved his hand in front of him and passed it off as fixing his hair, but in truth it was to push away the perfume. Even though he had moved, he could still feel it's soothing effects begin to take place. He regained his composure and smiled brighter, he remebered when he had foolishly given her that perfume as payment when they had had a previous expedtition together. But he had grown to enjoy whenever he recognized that smell in the air.

That horrid bell Azura thought as a loud clanging from a tin bell was sounded from the far end of the camp, signaling the shift in training. She loved to fight but hated the training and practice. She disliked them for the simple reason she could not truely practice a move if she could not kill the person she was fighting. Only if she was fighting slaves could she kill her opponet.

*Raith smirked, restraining his laughter.*
A percentage of whatever you manage to plunder? No, Lord Maleon has no need for resources. He merely wishes that when he needs a hand with something, that you repay the favour. Yet there is one thing...
*Raith paused as Azura swept between them, and he could smell a rather heady perfume as she did. He banished it from his mind, ignoring the smell as he continued. He was too focused a man to be distracted by perfumes...*
There is a man I... I mean, we, need to find. His name is Sen, and he commands a force called the Storm. If we come across him, we must capture him. This will be no easy task however; if it proves too difficult, then his death will suffice. The Storm matter not; we can kill them all. Until then, I am at your disposal.
*Raith waited for Ecthlion's reply. It mattered not to him what they would do, nor if he got paid or not. There was only one of two things that he wanted in his hands; either Sen's will, or his blood.*

Azura reentered the tent out of sheer boredom. She heard two things as she walked between the two men. Someone by the name of Sen who she didn't know or care about. the second was more important.
" Percentages?" she asked wheeling around to face Ecthlion. " I see, you offer him percentages but not to I?" she spat out, her anger clearly written on her face. She stood directly in between the two her head barely reaching Ecthlion's chin. " Or what do you think I will settle with 'your favors'?" she spat out with even more venom than the first. " If I am to follow to the ends of the earth I want to know whats in it for me?" she added suddenly going cold. " I want twenty percent.." she demanded with a slight stamp of her boot causing her spurs to jingle.

(where is everyone else?)

Ecthlion smiled as he thought of hunting down a singular man and defeating him. It was almost like his earlier days in Harad when he was a bounty hunter. But tilting his head slightly he asked, "And why does your master assume that I need you at my disposale at all?" His smile grew wide indeed when he noticed Raith's visage alter slightly. But any enjoyment he might encounter from that was stolen away when Azura entered the room demanding a cut of their plunder. He walked twoards her so they were less than an inch from each other and he whispered venomously, "You will get your twenty percent."

(I have no idea; I was wondering the same thing...)

*Raith's hands a blur of black leather and shining steel, he had his Nodachi out, and under Ecthlion's wrist, sharp end down. He slowly brought it away from Azura's waist, all the while his eyes staring icily at Ecthlion.*
Because, Ecthlion, I could cut you down before you could even scream. I could put an arrow between your eyes before you could even catch a hint of my presence. Because, Ecthlion, I can be trusted to keep my head no matter what distractions may arise.
*Raith, in the same fluid movement he had done earlier, sheathed his Nodachi with a hiss of metal on velvet-lined scabbard.*
You see, I have my uses. No matter your need, I will be able to fill it. If there is a share to be had, she can have mine.
*Raith emphasized this by nodding towards Azura.*
What good is money to me? For food? Weapons? A place to sleep? All those things I can either get for myself, or can do without. Fancy clothes, trinkets? Whatever for? No, money is useless to me, Ecthlion. Cold steel, the blood of my enemies, and the knowledge that my work is done is all the payment I need.

(Here's Ecthlion's Bio if you want to read up on him.)

Ecthlion laughed openly at Raith and his attempt to shame Ecthlion for touching Azura. He knew her better than Raith and also knew that she would no offense in such an act. Although had it been anyone else she than himself would have ended his life shortly. "I will have you along with me." Ecthlion conceeded. If it was not for the fact that he needed Raith along so that they could travel to Mirkwood, Raith would not be coming along. But Ecthlion desperatly wanted to murder elves, and he needed Raith for the travel. As for Raith's threats... Ecthlion was no fool to suspect them void but he knew that Raith needed him as well. If any man was to help capture this "Sen" then it was Ecthlion. That was probably the sole reason Maleon had sent Raith to him. So, for the moment, his threats did not effect Ecthlion. And for Raith's sake he hoped that it would stay that way.

Azura's anger flashed without warning she was in no mood to be touched. She swung an arm back and let it fly connecting her fist to Ecthlion's jaw. For such a tiny person she was quite strong. It wasn't enough to knock him down but enough to prove a point. " I am not your harem girl..." she spat. She was slightly flattered by his attentions and yet that annoying voice told her to be wary. Then again the stranger came to her defense. " Do not touch me such a manner again," she smiled wickedly " Or else.." she added darkly flicking her thin line dagger. She turned to Raith when he spoke " Generous of you but I think Ecthlion and I will come to some agreement? Won't we?" she asked turning to Ecthlion again with a riased eyebrow.

( Please don't do that again that i think pushes it...tame it down Hob. )

(Hob? But yeah sorry.)

Ecthlion smiled and wiped a smear of blood off his lip. He nodded and grabbed a spare pack he had under his cot. Placing it on his shoulders he solved the problem quickly, "Twenty percent for Azura, and one 'Sen' for Raith." Eager to be on the road he stepped out of the tent and ignored the flow of troops to the training session.

Azura stood motionless for a moment then rubbed her knuckles were she had struck Ecthlion, she didn't like always having to prove she was no push over. She walked around Raith and out the tent flap then wandered through the camp to her tent. She packed quickly only taking essential items. Once packed, she left going the way she came. She found her horse in a nearby corral. The massive palomino constrasted with the other's horses but Azura was fond of the gaint. Once saddled and ready to leave she lead her horse back towards Ecthlion's tent. She found a sparse shade tree and stood under it to stay out of the sun's scorching rays.

(Hmmmmm...... I don't want a horse but I don't know of anything else that will keep up with you guys. A dragon is too unrealistic so no, but besides that.... any ideas?)

(hmmm... I think i'll just buy, *coughstealcough*, a horse. It'll give me something to think about.)

Ecthlion pulled out his dagger and began to walk over to the stables. He pretended practice a technique for knife dexterity he had learned as a child as he walked. Grabbing the hilt so the point was toward the ground he flipped it sideways catching it half a second later and flipping it the other way and catching it once again. He even added a few flaws in the routine to make it seem realistic. Continuing his "practice", he neared the stable master and even though Ecthlion was only looking at him from the corner of his eye, he knew the man suspected nothing. Ecthlion dropped the dagger and cursed under his breath.
"Which is your fastest horse?" he began picking his blade off the ground and blowing the dust away from it's intricate engravings. "We have three of our finest to the right," he started away and motioned for Ecthlion to follow. He seathed his dagger and did just that. "We have a fine palimino on the left, good for long distances at a time but not the fastest. Our next horse is a Gelding, it will server you well and will not be hard to train. It's slower than the palimino but will match it's stamina if not surpass it. Finally we have a Lusitano, it's almost entirely black if it were not for the hints of red along it's mane and tale and some other spots of the body. It's a powerful horse than is a mix between speed and stamina but this particular horse had a touch more of speed." The horse master beamed from ear to ear and Ecthlion could tell that the man had spent time with each and every horse. Ecthlion immeaditaly ruled out the Gelding, not likeing it's abilities and what he would need the horse for. He could make any of the horses obey him, weather it was Gelding or not. Ecthlion spent a few moments with each horse before finally deciding the Lusitano. It was exactly what he would need and the colors on the horse were a beautiful mix.
"The Lusitano will be fine." he annouced pointing the horses way. The stable master was so excited that he immediatly trotted in and began fixing the horse with all the leather strappings and saddle. After finishing he brought the horse to Ecthlion and stood beside him.
"A fine choice and with the finest leather I have." the stable master explained. Ecthlion understood that since he was no orc or ordinary Haradrim the stable master assumed that he would pay a high price. Ecthlion smiled along with him and reached his arm around and patted him on the far shoulder with his right hand. It was at that moment that the stable master realized the Ecthlion's dagger was not in it's seath. As he turned to look at Ecthlion's hand he felt his throat rub against the sharp blade that was held to his neck. In truth, Ecthlion had never seathed the knife, just hid it in his sleeve. But for the stable master, the realization came too late. With a flick of his wrist, and a flash of gleaming steel, Ecthlion had slit the man's throat and had the dagger seathed before he even realized he had been murdered. Mounting his new horse Ecthlion rode back to his tent to meet with Raith and Azura.

(here is a picture of Azura http://image.lowriderarte.com/f/chicano ... arrior.jpg)

Azura felt the warm, steamy breath of her horse brush against her neck it always gave her chills, it always meant battle ahead. This time though her gentle mare would not be dressed out for battle, drapped in tassels and studded leather. Instead she was tacked out in simple leather that was designed for wear and tear. Azura idely scratched the beast's head waiting for someone else to show up

( I will be gone this weekened until sunday evening)
