After the man had left, Miriel silently stood as petrified in the Kitchen. She tried to stop the bleeding of her nose, but it was no use. By hearing the scrapping of a door she activated again and tiptoed to the door. Peeking roundthe corner she was startled, for she saw the two girls who she just had left, tiptoeing through the corridor obviously looking for a way to escape.
Miriel silently gestured to the girls to come over to her, carefully listening for footsteps.
((Okay, we'll try not to go to far ahead ))

The elf smiled, and hurried over stopping a way away. Gently she reached out and touched the girls nose "So much pain..." she said softly, eyes shining with tears.

Miriel smiled too and laid a finger on her lips. She pointed with her finger to the kitchen and quietly said: "Through here, follow the corridor and you'll find a way out. Outside turn right and there at the lower part of the wall, you can climb over."
The Elf smiledand Miriel had the liking to embrace her since she never had a real friend though she did not do it. Instead she said: "Hurry now my friends, before someone will take away your freedom again."

[I'm sorry Next time eh? ^^" ]
"Call me Raven." she grabbed her arm "You come with and show us the way."
There were footsteps in the distance, and the elfglanced back briefly, her quick mind measuring time and weight of the person.
With a despairing glance at the girl, she took off, tugging
Ilythiiri behind her.
Not knowing their way around, they ran through numerous pasage ways, and darted into a darkend room at the end of a deserted corridor.
~
"Well, well, well." rasped an old woman voice.
The elf spun around, giving Ilythiiri a sharp shove back onto the corridor; she turned herself and saw with a sinking heart that there were guards advancing steadily agin.
~
One the gir/s [in case you came with Will ] were subdued, the old woman turned her deep brown eyes on them, grabbing each by the chin, and anguling their faces to catch the light.
She held the elfs for a long while glaring at her- this provoked the elf to raise her eyes and glare back for a second.
"Show me those eyes." she said, her voice sounding like she had swallowed a platefull of ash.
Suddenly the pale elf found the floor very intiuging, and held her gaze downcast.
"Hmm? Look at me."
When this still recived no reaction, she slapped the elf sharply around the face.
Still nothing.
She turned on (one of the) girl(s) and grabbed her by the hair, pulling her head back sharply "Do it, or the girl pays."
Eyes smouldering with emerald fire the elf looked at her, raising an angular eyebrow.
"Too much earth..." the old one growled stalking away like a great bird of prey.
One of the soldiures piped up "Earth is good- it counter acts the war in this ones eyes."
She turned on her heel, and headed back towards Ilythiiri, glaring into the violet depths.

Miriel found herself grabbed by Raven, yet while they ran throught he corridor she hissed: "I should not come with you. I will only enlarge your risk of ex-" She suddenly kept stil. Footsteps. A moment later she found herself subdued by an old woman, whom she had seen before but Miriel couldn't recall her name.
Her heart made a jump while she saw the guards approach.
"What's going on here?" asked one of the man curious to the old woman. "These slave girls were running very fast.. towards the entrance of the garden" she croaked. "Runaways?"
"I do recognise her" She grabbed Miriel's hair.
"I.. I was only showing them their quarters." Miriel quickly said.
"You'll speak when you're told to" the old woman spatted. "What shall we do with them eh?" her voice sounded excited. "Bring them to the King?"

Suddenly she paused, placing a withered finger to her lips and smiling.
"My son can wait a few moments."
The guards quickly silenced themselves. She pursered her wrinkled lips and looked them all up and down. "The elf yes... The others... No." Grabbing the elf roughly by the arm, she led her away through a screen.
"You will wait here."she turned to go, flicking her hand at one of the servants "Light a candle or something..."
Nervously the maid bowed and hurried over to a small tinderbox.
~
"You two- follow me. You belong to the Household now- both of you. I have always need for handmaids... Maybe you can do better than the last to."
Findulias- for that was the womans name- grinned toothily at them, waving them through another set of screen doors.

Miriel, full worry, saw the woman leave with Raven and the other girl. She didn't know where they were going. Maybe they were taken to the King. Miriel shivere, for the King was known because of his harsh punishments. While she still was guarded by the two men she wondered how she got herself into this trouble.

[I meant you and Ithirii were taken aside^^ not meh and her ;]
Carefullythe elf folded her long legs under her, watching the terrified maid with passive eyes.
She felt cold now, cold which seemed so trival though it chilled her to the bone.
Remembering the feasting halls of Mirkwood, she turned her gaze onto the candle, the light of the flame spending warmth and hope.
"All rise!" The occupants of the Kings table rose swiftly- grinning at his youngest son- who winked at her, she was hurried in by her father. "Lady Rhavaniel and her father, the Ambasodor of Mirkwood." "How did it go?" the young elf-prince whispered to her once she sat. "A lot of boring old people full of critic at my archery."the young elf-maid replied. "Shh! You will grow into the job of your father Rhan- Do not speak so ill of my counsilors." The King winked at her, and reached for a goblet "Though they are rather dull sometimes.
She was startled out of her memories as another door slid open in front of her. Bowing her head slightly she regarded the human- he was not the King, and yet he held some royal air about him.

[I'm back!]
Ilythiiri lashed out with the hand that was not held behind her, desperately watching the elf leave, and earned herself a painful twist of her free wrist. She did not register what the old woman had said for a minute, and then looked at her, still not quite comprehending. She fet panic rising and gulped it down.

((Welcome back Meleth. I'll just be with Ilythiiri than. Okay?))
Miriel sighed and sat down on the ground. Again she had been taken from a familiar place and planted down in a new enviroment. First she had worked in the laundry, then in the kitchens, now she was a hand maid.
This freaked her out: people could just do with her as they desired. She had no control over her life. She never had.. since they took her.
Findulias returned with two simple tunics for the hand maiden. "Put on" she commanded "You both will have to serve dinner tonight"
After this comment she left.

Ilythiiri just looked at the rough, obviously secondhand garment. She felt miserable. Glancing over at the other girl, she likewise sank to the ground and fixed her eyes on some abstract object, determined not to cry again.

Miriel quickly took off her blue tunic and tried to cover her back the best she could so Ilythiiri wouldn't notice the thin white scars.
After she'd put the other tunic on she looked at the girl next to her. She felt pity and she pulled an arm around her shoulder and quietly said "Things will be alright"

Ilythiiri tried to smile. "I wish I could believe that," she said softly.
