"Nor was I," said Lothwen. "We can only wait. . .and watch. . .and keep our hope strong." Lothwen rose and put a blanket over Calad to keep her warm. With a sad smile, Lothwen went over to the flap of the tent and peered outside.

Lothwen looked at Dernhelm in shock. "You do not mean what I think you do?" she burst out angrily. "You cannot kill her!" In anger, Lothwen snatched the bow away from Dernhelm. "I will not allow it!" she cried.

Later, Lothwen felt the same cold shiver run down her back. She sat bolt upright. "I feel it!" she cried. "Anarane?"

Meleth, too, felt the malevolent aura. Her face was very white. "Don't panic, Lothwen," she said, her voice low and strained. "I think we need to get to Caras Galadhon. We should have gone there in the first place."

Anarane concerned glanced at Lothwen then turned and moved out side. "Show yourself!"She shouted feeling alittle bit silly because she didn't know what she was doing or even if the creature could understand her. While stringing her bow and getting it ready for battle she continued to shout but this time in elvish, at the 'creatures'

Meleth sprang to her feet and whistled piercingly. "Then we must get away from this place!" she cried, tossing her quiver of arrows over her sholder. "Dernhelm, get Calad outside so I can carry her on Minuial," she snapped. "I don't care what the rest of you do but I am not going to sit here and die!"

Anarane turned to look at the tent, as if to better hear Lothwens shouting. "I can see nothing!"
As she said that, pain started to reside in her back, but she decided to ignore it and return to Lothwen and see if she could help her.
