Deawen stood and peered about
"sticks and stones to break thy bones
to vanish so no one will ever know
to create fear,is to hear...."
Deawen mumbled she had placed her mask on her face it was black and hard it was a ful face mask with silver etchings on it. her black cloak and skirts made her look like a shadow she waited for Tahlavain to give the signal.

Tahlavain gave a slight wave again as they neared the small group of Maiean, about five of them. Letting out a trilling whistle, she stayed behind a tree, signalling the others to remain hidden within the bushes. The Maiean leapt to their feet and rushed towards the sound. As the approached, one fell to Tahlavain's blade, its neck sliced cleanly. The other four reacted by scattering themselves around her and diving in for an attack, unaware of the other two nearby.

Deawen vanished and reappeared behind one. and slit it's throat then moved on to the next and did the same

Darrell drew his sword silently and stepped out infront of one of the maiean. "You picked a fight with the wrong people, and you're about to see why" He dropped his sword point and charged the maiean. The maiean turned the attack aside but Darrell flicked his sword up into the maieans arm, causing him to drop his sword.

Tahlavain quickly disposed of the second to last Maiean, who was caught quite off gaurd. After Darrell would finish with the Maiean he was fighting, that group would be through, and it would be on to the next. Fortunately they had attacked quickly enough that no communication was made between the Maiean.

Darrell gestured to the maieans sword, "pick it up, I don't fight unarmed enemies. But I do shoot them". The maiean picked his sword up and slashed up and across on his way up, trying to catch his adversary off guard. But Darrell had been expecting such a move and blocked the swing. He followed the block up with a slash across the chest. The maiean dodged his blade and thrust in towards Darrell's stomach. darrell turned the blade thrust aside, and followed up with a low sweep and the maieans shins and followed up with a back swing at head height. The maiean jumped to evade darrell's first slash and was unable to avoid the backslash.
Darrell wiped his sword contemptuously on the headless maieans cloak, muttering to himself. "no servant of evil can defeat me in one to one combat"

(hehehehe. he's still bitter about getting wounded by the maiean in the first fight^^)

(o.o Wow... I can tell... )

Tahlavain looked at Darrell then at the headless Maiean "A little angered perhaps?..." She smirked slightly. "Right... on to the next..." She made her way forward, not bothering to use the horse.

She suddenly came to a stop. "Ah... they're silent... this does not bode well..." she whispered to the others, then almost to back up her statement, nearly ten Maiean came towards them from all sides.

(oooh. 10 between three of us. That makes 3 and a third each^^. No one on one combat this time.)

Darrell's face was passive as he watched the maiean approach. "This should be more interesting" he muttered, "take them out, one at a time" he said to the others, "Its no good going for three at once". He swung his sord lazily as the maiean closed in, waiting for a good opportunity to attack.

Deawen vanished and reappeared again behind one she stabbed that one and moved to the next one.

Tahlavain didn't have magical powers, like Deawen, but what she lacked, she made up in skill with her blade ( muwaha) The Maiean made a strong attack, not waiting to be fought one by one (like in those cheesy sword fight movies where all the enemies stand back practicing footwork while the good guy fights one at a time ), but surrounding and delivered strike upon strike with their swords.

Deawen took out her second sword and used it as a post she drove it into the ground and pressed her wieght against it and lured the Maiean towards it then she released it the hand guard drove itself deep into the Maiean s leg it gave out a shriek (i would too! i got that from experiance for the blade isn't the only part of the sword!) Deawen silenced it with a quick motion and the Maiean was headless.Deawen pulled the swords out from the maiean she quickly cleaned them and waited for the others.

Darrell's sword flickered, turning aside all the sword thrusts of the maiean as they closed in. He selected one of the maiean in front of him and doubled his efforts, focusing on the one maiean, driving him back, trying to seperate him from the others around him. Leaping forward suddenly darrell evaded a maiean thrust and slashed up and across the maiean he had selected. The maiean blocked the thrust and locked the swords together. With a complicated flick Darrell disarmed the maiean and ran him through. He turned away just in time to block the slashes and stabs of the other maiean, trying not let any of them get behind him.

Tahlavain cut in between two in one quick dive, turning around and slashing both their backs in one swing of her sword, the blade giving a glow, but no blood remained on the surface.

Darrells' sword flickered as he repelled the slashes of the maieans swords. Darting sharply to one side he slashed up, across at head height. One less he thought as the maieans body fell to the floor.
