Silmarwen shook her head, "then you are returning the favor far too much. You have done too much for me for it to be concidered returning the favor, since what I did hardly amounted to all this, but I thank you none the less." She turned and walked on down the path, pulling her hood over her head to hide her troubled expression.

Niell thought for a moment before catching up with Silmarwen. "Besides," he laughed, "I still need someone to show me Lorien."

Silmarwen glanced at him from beneath her hood. "I just don't know how to go about trying to say what my thoughts are..." she spoke quietly as she walked. "And my feelings..." she mumbled more so to herself. Silmarwen again looked at him, "I can't see why you would go through so much, and even offer your life, to save mine, because me letting you go that time was... rather for my amusement... and I regret the reasoning behind it, but I do not regret letting you live..." she seemed to smile slightly but turned her gaze ahead again. She continued, "and...I just can't help but wonder what you could see in me that's worth saving"

"If you think about it," Niell began, "the only reason you were almost killed was because of me. If you hadn't traveled with me, chances are you would have taken a different path or at least been more careful. Avoiding the nazgul wouldn't have been too difficult then...And the only reason we were attacked by that dark elf was because he was following me." He laughed somewhat nervously, "I wouldn't be able to stand it if anyone was killed on my account."

Silmarwen looked at him with a glimmer of a hidden laugh in her eyes. "It was my choosing to follow you, but you make an excellent point... you're a strange one... especially for a dark elf." She chuckled quietly.

Niell looked rather surprised, "I'm not sure if I should be offended," he laughed, "so perhaps you should explain what you mean by 'strange'."

"I meant it's strange that a dark elf would feel guilty if they were to have someone die on their account... Which only goes to show I was right to think there was something in you unlike the other dark elves, something different... " Silmarwen let her voice wander off and glanced around before gazing towards the ground before her as she walked.

Haldir gathered enough strength to find Silmarwen and Niell. "Nazgul...50 leagues north...couldn't outrun them..." and with that, she showed them a gash on her side.

Silmarwen smirked slightly at Niell, "So I guessed... " She grew silent again, then after they had walked for quite a while, the light of dawn began to creep over the hills.

She was startled by the sight of Haldir. "Nazgul?... I didn't think they would be as quick as that to recover and return..."
