Rorian found a place for he and his son to stay that night; it was small, not much more then a spare room above the inn known as the Red Horse that the tavern keeper rented out, but it would do. Despite the noise coming up from the rooms below, Leuwynn managed to fall asleep on the single cot in the corner quickly; he had been exausted by the day’s events.
Rorian sat watching his son for a long time, and in his eyes was a look of wonder and love. It was hard raising the child on his own, but the he didn’t mind; Leu both confused and amazed him, frustrated him, and yet he loved him and cared for him deeply. A sigh escaped Rorian, and he smiled, though it was tinged with sadness. “She would have loved you…,” he said softly as he bent to kiss the sleeping boy’s forehead, “And so I must love you for the both of us.”
He slipped silently out of the room, locking the door to make sure Leuwynn would be safe, and went down to the tavern.

As Scýne entered the great halls she was amazed by its size and its beauty. This place could offer shelter to alot of people. Not losing her brother from her sight she looked around while she followed Aswin to the Main Hall where the King would be.
Léothir wondered around. He would have to find a good place for his mother and siblings to pass the night. Food had to be provided. But now.. Helms Deep still seemed to be a chaos. Almost automatically his feet braught him to the main halls of Helms Deep, he figured that that would be the place to be to volunteer for helping to bring order in this chaos.
((I really don't know how to get in touch with others... I've been abroad for a week so I'm sorry for not posting here for such a long time..))

( well no one else had been here) Mejia trotted out the gate and then cantered her horse to her cart. Arvel still hadn't found the driving pair.Either that or he was still trying to find a place to put them.

Artemis wrote: Heorl introduced himself to Diore and the rest of Leoflic's family. He felt a little awkward though. Since they were very young, Naefrewyn had always been the outgoing, talkative, vivacious one of the two. Heorl had always been shy and introverted. He didn't have many friends because most people took his shyness for cold indifference.
For most of that day the crowds of Rohirric refugees poured in through the gates into Helm's Deep. Later, Heorl, Naefrewyn, Leoflic, Dior, and their mother and younger siblings sat together inside the keep. Things had settled down for a bit, and it didn't look like they would be expecting an attack right off thankfully.
Heorl passed Naefrewyn a piece of dried meat from their pack of provisions and took one for himself. Naefrewyn wrinkled her nose at the rather unsatisfying piece of food before taking a small bite. She was sick of having nothing good to eat for so long, but she supposed that nothing could be done about it.
She knew that unless she started a conversation, Heorl would never say anything, so, seeking to fill the silence, she said, "So did you live in Edoras before we all had to come her?" She and her brother had lived far outside the capital, alone on a small farm. It had been devastating to her to have to leave.
(I pushed things forward a little bit. I hope that's ok.)
(It's fine. And sorry about the delay in posting a response..)
Glancing to his mother, who seemed not willing to speak, Léoflic took that as an ok to relate the tale.
"When I was much younger, we lived in Edoras, but that was when my father was alive. He worked there as a stablehand for many long years, and after he died..mother just couldn't stand to live there any more. There were too many memories. So, we moved to one of the largest villages in the Westfold, where we found a farm on the outskirts, and we lived there for almost ten years..though it was burned down when the orcs struck. Nothing was left of the village, and after escaping, we headed straight for Helm's Deep."

(^It's okay. It took me a long time to reply to your last post so we're even .)
Naefrewyn shot a sympathetic glance towards Leoflic and Diore's mother. She couldn't imagine how horrible it must have been to lose a husband. She had barely been able to cope with it when her parents passed away. "I'm sorry," she said softly.
Heorl still sat silently, contemplating each of the others thoughtfully, so Naefrewyn took it upon herself to share a little bit of their history with Leoflic and his family. "Heorl and I grew up on a small farm far on the outskirts of Edoras," she said, "When I was thirteen and Heorl was eighteen both our parents took ill and died. We took remained in our home, taking care of each other." She paused. "That is until the orcs came. They burnt down the house, and we barely got away. After that, we headed straight for Helm's Deep, but somewhere along the road, we were separated, and I ended up traveling most of the journey worried that something had happened to Heorl." She smiled up at Leoflic, banishing the pang of sorrow that had welled up in her upon speaking of her parents. "And then you helped me find him again."
Heorl shook his head slightly and rolled his eyes. If people weren't careful, his sister would talk their ears off. She had always been that way.

Rorian sat quietly at a table in the corner. He ran his fingers through his hair and looked around, trying to find any familiar face.
