"I am sorry. I should have revealed myself sooner, but with he figure listening, I was worried about it discovering me." She let her hood fall to reveal a tall, feminine Elf with long, braided hair and silver eyes. "My Elven name is Turwaithiel, but most know me now as Shadow, for my silence and blending into the shadows. I am not evil and I see that you have hobbits here." She said, seeing Pippin shaking with his eyes closed but you could tell he was awake and faking.

Frodo was alarmed at the pace in which Lucy jumped up.

He felt better, and quickly asked 'Lucy...what is it?' He looked into the direction her startled eyes were pointing. Just behind the first row of trees, he could see, where he was previously attacked...Nienna and a cloaked figure battling.

'Stay here Frodo. It is not safe for you out there!' Bombadil warranted as the brave hobbit was about to leave the security of the house.

Frodo lay back down on the setee and allowed Elthara to contine dabbing his head, although he was frantic with worry. His eyes closed.

He awoke to find Nienna and a strange figure in the house. He lept up, as he'd regained much of his former strength, although his leg was still hurting slighlty, the bandage around it eased the pain.

'Yes...Yes...' Bombadil bellowed as he listened in to what had happened. 'It is...as I feared. There is no more time to linger. The dark forces have mustered a strength now, so strong that it is able to fight through the boundries of all purity. Hence the fact Valinor is not safe...and that fact our three little hobbit friends here have been in danger...'

'Three hobbit friends...!?' Frodo said suddenly He looked up to see Merry and Pippin beside the fireside, warming their quivering bodies. Frodo was shocked, and speechless. He looked in amazment, as his two hobbit buddies looked back in amazement. Just then he sprinted toward Merry and Pippin and grabbed them both, as they raced toward him in the same manner. The three of them tumbled to the ground and thought of the time they had met in Farmer Maggots fields before the journey during the war of the ring. Bombadil let out a chuckle, and the other's in the house allowed themselves a moment of amusment as they watched the three hobbits re-aquaint themselves.

After allowing an hour for catch-up time, Bombadil said over a cup of hot tea 'I believe now is the time to pack...we must leave...and leave quickly. We are in need of a meeting with Gandalf the White...although many must be asked, there is, unfortunatley, no time for questions. Frodo, you will ride with Nienna, and Merry, you will ride with Elthara. Pippin will ride with Mararwen and i trust that you wise elves will take care of the halfling you ride with. Goldberry and I will take our own route. Lucy, you shall ride with our newest companion, we cannot discuss anymore matters here at the present. It is not safe for any of you.'

The Hobbits and elves nodded and picked up the bags they had packed not a few hours sooner. The were lined up ready to leave the house.

'Understand friends' Bombadil explained, 'That the events of today had a purpose. I do not know why or how this myterious figure managed to break into our land, but it does prove what a strong evil we are up against this time...this is not even the beginning...we must prepare for the road that is ahead and we cannot do so until we have had time to discuss matters futher with Gandalf. This is my final word until we are in security. Nowhere in Middle-Earth is safe anymore...nowhere.' and with that he led everyone out and closed the door behind him.

Frodo looked at the ponies who were tied up and watched as Elthara roped one to her horse. He wondered if Nienna would do the same.

Merry and Pippin, after the fire and warm tea had awoken them, found more than they bargined for when they came to Tom's house. But they where pleased to see young Frodo again, for they had missed him dearly, and it was a short, but great reunion.

But then, since they had learn information, like Samwise Gamgee in the time of the War of the Ring, they had dragged themselves into something much bigger than any of them. Nevertheless, they both where quite ready for another adventure and both smiled as they prepared.

Turwaithiel, however, who have volunteered if not invited, but she was glad to be invited nonetheless. She slowly walked over to Frodo and asked him, "Are you Mr. Frodo Baggins, young sir?"

Nienna nodded and also roped a pony to her horse.
"Well, it looks like there won't be any turning back now."
She turned to Frodo.
"Are you ready?"
at his nod she clasped her hands together to give him a boost up into the saddle, then she mounted behind him.
"I fear that more evil will come,so we must make haste."
her eyes spoke of the fear she had experienced and still experienced. she nodded at Tom.
"Thank you, Mr. Bombadil for everything."
she turned her horse to wait for the others.

Mephisto got up where he was knocked down by that insignificant human beings. Swiftly walked to the cabin where his prey went with her hero. "I am coming" he revealed himself as he approached to the Bombadil's house where Nienna ran into.

Frodo looked anxiously at the strange elf, but he could feel that this elf was good.

'Yes, I am Frodo Baggins.' he revealed anxiously. The elf gave him a reassuring smile and that was when they started for outside.

After Nienna had tied the pony to the end of her horse Frodo smiled. Inside his stomach was turning, he was scared. He cast a glance over to his two hobbit friends, who were mounted upon different horses either side of him, beside an elf. The horses and elves lined up beside each other and Bombadil stood before them.

'You are to ride hard, and fast, do not look back. We will meet you in Rivendell. Only there are we able to sit securley for the time being.'

The elves all nodded and Bombadil flew into the distance with Goldberry at his side.

Elthara pulled her horse out in front of the line of elves. 'Mellons, something strange is in the air...something unrecognisable.' As she spoke, the dark figure was seen, and in a flash, he was right behind them, upon a dark stallion.

Elthara yelled 'Nerehim! Nerehim!' at the top of her voice, and in one swifty movement, all horses and elves were racing toward Rivendell, The Dark figure was fast, and cunning, he was directly behind the elves and was catching up very quickly.

Elthara directed a glance at Nienna who was riding beside her with the hobbit. 'Nienna' she said in elvish, 'Rivendell, surley if Middle-Earth is dominated by men there will be no Rivendell...unless the diminion of men have preserved Rivendell as a sacred place...Aragorn may have done...but we do not know...we do not know...' The dark figure disappeared suddenly.

The elves continued to ride fast and followed Bombadil's intructions not to look back.

Nienna shook with the sudden relaization. she replied in Elvish
"No rivendell? this cannot be, my mind wants to tel you that there will be one, but in my heart i know tht there might not be one. what will we do if there there is not?"
Nienna was afraid now, who knew where that man was, if he foudn them and cought up with them the would surely die. she spoke again to Elthara,
"We need to reach it anyway, even if the elves have long deserted it it will still be a place of good. no evil should be able pass through the borders of the land."
Nienna nodded at Elthara with a serious look in her golden eyes.
"And if there is no presevation of the magic they held at that sacred place then we will have to do our best to defend the hobbits."
Nienna looked back in front of her with a determined look, whatever happened, she owuld not let the hobbits die.

Turwaithiel smiled at Frodo and said, "It is an honor to meet you, Mr. Baggins." Then, with a smile, she turned and left and mounted, for she felt even before Tom spoke of the figure watching her again. He would not let her get away from him again so easily again, she knew it. She would have to watch her back more carefully from now on.

Merry and Pippin's smiles both faded at the quick departer because of the figure. Merry never took his eyes off the figure as he rode and Pippin had his eyes shut tightly as he clung onto the horses mane.

The elves continue to ride hastily with their hobbit companions, after realising that the figure was gone Elthara turned once again to Nienna.
'Yes...the hobbits...they must be protected no matter what the cost..' she knew in her head of the value the hobbits would posses in relation to this quest, although she dare not reveal this yet. She thoughtg it best to keep her secrets, much as her mother, Minthara had once taught her. She looked sternly into the distance. Frodo was quivering. She looked down and the hobbit appeared pale and limp.
She pulled Alwenrill back suddenly. The grey mare halted. Frodo fell from the horse.
