Morwen turned absolutely red, as usual when she was happy, excited, embarrassed, or angry. She tried to keep from smiling, but her lips curled up at both ends. She walked timidly to the table and took a seat, as far away from Grima as possible.

Estel shooed Deawen out of the kitchen as well. Once she saw they where seated, she placed a few platters onto two trays, and balanced a tray on each hand. She walked out into the dinning area, and put the platters on the table before walking back to the kitchen again. She glanced over her shoulder to see Eomer watching her, and blushed. She hurried into the kitchen to get more food.

Deawen was not happy about this she felt like a young girl at her first ball. Deawen sat listening "you should feel happy not upset!" the voice said snobish "this is not my world!" "so it could be one day you never know but your luck may be better" Deawen shrugged and countinued to listen though she foung nobles talk boring she listened any way.

Morwen decided to take advantage of the situation. It was not often that the handmaidens got to dine on fresh sweets from the royal table. She was used to eating leftovers, if anything from the royal table. She was eating pears and apples, both of which she loved. After she ate her second, she saw the look from Eowyn. She caught Morwen's eye and intimated to Grima, who was eyeing her. She stopped eating and decided to talk to Deawen. (I have to get off for a while.)

Okay. Deawen is having problems carrying stuff, and almost ruined the course of the meal. Our friend estel has just invited the two handmaidens to dine with them (Eowyn, Eomer, Grima, Theoden, etc). Something is going to happen soon (If somebody else were to post! Ahem, Deawen Elsent )

(nice description of Deawen's issues. But hey it's true!"
Deawen was about to go mad with bordom but this quickly passed when she saw her favorite Dessert apple crisp(if they didn't have that they do now!) Deawen glanced over at Grima and he stared back! Deawen was ready to dive under the table!

After a little longer, Morwen decided to go ahead and clear the table. The conversation had become stale, and she was tired. She got up and began to clear away the dishes with Deawen, Grima never breaking his gaze from the two maid servants. Estel got up to help them, with a warning glare at Grima. When the table was clear, Grima escorted the king out of the hall, leaving the young nobles alone with the guests and the servants. "Thank goodness that is ended!" sighed Eowyn. "Meals are so tense these days." Eomer was looking at Estel. When Estel looked at him, he averted his gaze, and it went on, neither saying anything. After a while, the both started to look around the hall, only looking over occasionally to see if the other was looking, and disappointed if they weren't. Eowyn said, "Well, I am tired. Morwen, shall we?" "Of course," said Morwen, following Lady Eowyn out of the room. Deawen took the other two guests to their chambers. Unfortunately, Estel's was not yet ready.
In Eowyn's bower, Morwen stoked the fire and helped Eowyn change into a nightgown and robe. Even though it was spring, the nights were still chill. "Is there anything else?" asked Morwen after finishing her routine. "No. Thankyou, Morwen." Bowing, Morwen left to find Deawen.

Morwen found Deawen sitting outside Estel's chambers she looked sick and tired.
Deawen was sick to her stomach the good thing was her chores were done Deawen knew the sweets she ate were the cause.

"NO! I forgot to ask Eowyn about Eomer and Estel! She decided it was early enough to go back into her lady's bower. "My lady?" she asked to the dark room. There was some ruffling of the covers as Eowyn sat up. "Yes, Morwen?" "I was wondering about Estel and Eomer. They were playing eye-games after dinner. What do you think?" asked Morwen carefully. Giggling slightly, Eowyn said, "I've been made to promise not to say anything," answered Eowyn with mock-severeness.
"Perhaps if you were just to say no...or...maybe," pushed Morwen.
"Alright. But you have to ask the questions."
"Fine. Is Eomer at all interested in Estel?"
"Maybe,"
"Alright, that is all I needed to know. Goodnight. Sorry to disturb you, your highness." Morwen left and had what looked like a vertical seizure, but was really wild celebration and excitement all in one. Deawen looked like this:

(Okay, I got bored at the chior lock-in, so I drew our home town, ok, Deawen?)
Morwen was having dreams of home: of her father, her dead brother, and friends she had left. She hoped that they would keep their promises and visit, but at this point, she had very low expectations. Even a greeting from one of them through a messanger would be nice. At least she had Deawen here with her. By dawn, she had gotten little rest from her sleep, and was quiet and reserved. Eowyn was kind enought not to trouble her about it.[/img]
