Eleshna thought hard for a moment then reluctantly answered. "We'll return to Veron's dwelling... he still has his tools and work area there..."

She got on Syndar, though wincing from the effort, and tapped her heels into the horse's sides, taking off at a light trot.

Jaden followed along beside her, his sword out and in hand.

Looking at the sun it seemed to be mid day, but the lighting was dim.

Eleshna gazed silently ahead, her thoughts preoccupied. She looked over at Jaden after a moment.

"How's your arm? It isn't cold or anything is it? I'm afraid the antidote I used might be just slightly old but it should work..."

"That's good," Eleshna gave a slight smile in relief, sensing he was being at least somwhat honest this time.

Eleshna gave a slight shrug in reply but remained silent for a while, her gaze turned ahead again.

Eleshna gave a slight nod, feeling too weary to argue as she pulled Syndar to a stop and dismounted. "You're right, I think we both need rest after all that..."

She sat down and pulled one leg up and stretched the other out, her arm draped over her drawn up knee. She gazed silently in the direction they were headed, almost dreading to continue.

Jaden climbed off Azher and found a good place to rest for the night.

Azher assured the two of them that they could sleep soundly as he would be watching all night.

Eleshna sat back against a tree, her head leaned back, and drifted to sleep quickly, despite the awkward position against the tree.

Shortly before dawn, she awoke in a heavy sweat and got to her feet, walking off a few paces and wiped her brow with her sleeve, taking a few deep breaths of the crisp morning air, her eyes taking in the dim glow of twilight.

Jaden woke to find the sun glaring over the horizen, sending beams of blinding light into his eyes.

He squinted and covered his face with his hand, looking around to see Eleshna a little ways away.

Eleshna shivered and rubbed her arms, even though the morning turned out to be relatively warm. She rubbed a hand over her forehead then turned around again.

She noticed Jaden was awake and managed a slight smile, but didn't say a word as she prepared Syndar so they could continue on.

"Here. You might want this." Jaden said tossing her a larg piece of dried meat.

They had not had much to eat lately, with all the excitment and all.

Jaden took out some for himself and climbed on Azher.

Eleshna cought onto it but somehow didn't have much of an appitite to finish it and placed the rest in a pocket.

She was again silent as they traveled, making good time against the sun, the mountains of the all too familiar valley soon coming into view.
