He led her, stroking her hair.
''Love, you are not making sense. Calm yourself and explain when you are ready.''
Niko was shocked. the sight of her suspended above the ground with nothing holding her was something he could never have thought possible.

She took a few breaths."I wanted to see what I could do exacty. So I went out and stood there, just trying to focus my energy on the air and the wind, and I was picked up by it!" she her her face in the crook of his neck.

He kissed her head, trying to comfort her. ''Relax, love. You are safe''
Niko could scarcely believe that his wife could do such things.
He sat up and held her. ''Would you like to try again? In a skirt?'' he added with a laugh, hoping to put her at ease.
If she allowed, he would help her discover what else she could do.

She swallowed, then let out a small laugh at his words, then nodded slowly. Her curiosity was getting the better of her. Somehow she knew she could do more, and not just with air. She stood up, then helped him up as well. "I'm sorry...I really didn't want to wake you but it just came out.."

''You needn't worry, dearest. I would prefer to be woken up rather than to have you wave to me from the moon''
He stood in front of her, waiting. ''Whatever you need of me, ask.''
If they worked at it he would feel better knowing she would be more capable of staying safe against enemies.

She stepped back, her eyes once again going gold, her skin grew white and cold. She lifted her arms out again, and a mighty gist of wind hit her, blowing her hair wildly, and her feet once again lifted from the ground. She only kept her eyes open, not seeing, but concentrating. She was lifted higher still.

Niko watched, amazed, as she seemed to levitate in front of him.
''Impossible'' his mouth dropped open. He moved slightly closer to her, ready to catch her and pull her down to safety if she asked him.
He moved his hand in the space under her feet and felt nothing but the wind that kept her up.
All he could do was stare.

She gasped at what was happenning, her mind concentrating on the wind. She suddenly aimed for a small noisy, and wind shot out, tearing the bush up by its roots. She ended it then, and dropped down, shaking. She didn't know how much it would take out of her.

Niko couldn't deny that he was slightly intimidated by what he had seen.
He went up to her slowly after she dropped down, and gently put his hand to her arm.
''Angel?''
He was concerned for her health, but also wondered how she was taking everything that was happening. It was no small thing.

She looked at him, her eyes wide, and there was something deeper in them. She almost liked the power, but it was new, and scary. "Fire next." her voice was hoarse.

Niko looked at her, not entirely sure he like the look in her eyes. He nodded and went inside and brought out a torch and held it, waiting for her to act.
He wondered if this new rush of magic and power was beginning to get the better of her.
Power does corrupt even the best of heart

She concentrated on the flame, holding her hand out to it. The flame jumped up, rising higher. Her hand began to shake, and a trickle of blood ran out of her mouth. The fire extinguished, and she dropped to her knees.

He gasped as the flame grew until it went out, all at her command. Looking to her he saw something was clearly wrong. He dropped to his knees and knelt beside her, gently wiping away the blood from her mouth.
''Are you all right?''

She nodded, her eyes downcast. The power too much more put of her than before. "I must never use these abilities unless I absolutely need to and there is not other way." she resolved. She wouldn't let the power get the better of her. Her jaw clenched at her earlier thoughts of liking the power, how could she be such a fool?

He nodded as she spoke. He agreed with her.
Niko slowly put his arm around her hoping to comfort her as he saw she was feeling bad.
''Do you wish to try anything else?''

"No." she feared if she tried something else that moment something would happen to her. "You need sleep, and I need to cut up the rest of that deer." but she leaned against him, needing his strength at that moment.
