Maralyn re-entered the dining hall, along with Vasa and Fearon. She sat down across from Lilaine, making sure to mumble a polite greeting. Noticing a goblet nearby, she grabbed hold of it and filled it with cider from a pitcher. As the She-elf brought the goblet to her lips, she thought of everything that was to be done if Imladris was to be kept safe. She would gladly give her life for her people, but what of her husband back in Mirkwood? She would give anything for even a glimse of his face; anything to know if he was safe. But then there was Airegwathion...Maralyn was determined to avenge him, even if it meant certain death.
Distraught, she took another sip from the goblet.

Lilaine looked at Maralyn seeing her distraught look. "Maralyn. what will we do?" she asked after Maralyn had taken her sip.

Maralyn turned to face the other Elf, her soft brown eyes staring into Lilaine's stark blue ones. "For the present, we wait. When Alendariel returns, we will seek out young Airegwathion's slayers and free Imladris from this threat."

Lilaine looked at Maralyn deep in the eye. " i am with you all the way. i stand for the cause no matter what." Lilaine felt like she needed to stand by Maralyn at all costs. so thats what she was going to do

Maralyn smiled wryly. "I only wish everyone in Imladris were as determined as you are." She took another sip from the goblet, allowing the lukewarm liquid to flow down her throat in a very soothing way. Another sigh escaped her lips, and she made a mental note to stop herself next time.

Lilaine blushed and uttered a thank you. " how long will it take for the she-elf to contact her friends? we must get this on way as soon as possible." Lilaine was very ditermended just as Maralyn had said she was.

Maralyn shrugged. "I know not how much time will pass before she returns, but I have faith in her."
Taranu suddenly appeared behind her chair, tapping her gently on the shoulder. "Lhun and I are heading home for the night," he said, "When shall we expect you and your...friend?"
Maralyn turned around in her seat, brushing her brother's fingers with her own. "You may expect us shortly, but first, we have some other things to go over in our conversation."
"Very well...I'll see you two later, then." Taranu squeezed his sister's hand one more time, nodded to Lilaine, and then took his leave of the dining hall, along with his wife.
Maralyn turned back to Lilaine. "In the meantime, we must prepare for our embarkment. Tell me, what usage of weaponry are you familiar with?" She took another sip from the goblet.

Lilaine nodded back to Taranu. then turned back to Maralyn. " i have trained with a sword. but i am best with a bow and arrow. how dangorous is this mission going to be? if we need some sort of an Army i can gather that." Lilaine said thoughtfully

Maralyn stared down into the goblet, which was now empty. "We do not yet know the number of our enemies, therefore it is impossible to tell weather or not we will need an army. At the moment, I think our small party...plus the help Alendariel is fetching...will be enough."

Lilaine noded. " well if we end up needing more people. don't hesitait to ask." Lilaine played with her cloth napkin on the table.

"I will bear that in mind." Maralyn said in response to Lilaine's offer. "And now," she added, standing up, "I believe the time has come for us to retire for the night. If I am correct, my brother has fixed up a spare room for you."

Lilaine stood as well. " thank you so much. thank your brother for me." Lilaine smiled and waited for Maralyn to show her to the room.

"Indeed I will." Maralyn murmured in reply, then motioned for the other Elf to follow her. Other Elves were also leaving the dining hall, so Maralyn and Lilaine were not alone as they made their way through the streets to Taranu's house.

Lilaine walked in silence to Maralyns brothers house. she thought about what was going to happen, she actually really didn't know what was going to happen. this is what Lilaine was pondering on.

Before long, Taranu's house could be seen several hundred feet away, its sides illuminated by the lamps which shed light unto the otherwise dark streets. Judging by the lack of illumination in the windows, everyone within the house had already gone to sleep.
The two Elves reached the door, and Maralyn opened it with a small creak. She peeked her head inside. "It's as I thought; they have all gone up to their chambers for the night." She held the door open for Lilaine, then shut if softly after her new friend had entered. The entire house was dark, save a dim glow which came from the sitting room, where the embers of a recent fire lay glowing in the hearth.

Lilaine looked around in the magnificent house. it was dimly lit at the moment but she could make out beautiful tapestries and fine fabrics and silver candle holders and much more. she looked at Maralyn and wispered. " your brothers house is beautiful. and it must be late."
