This is one of the slow-paced adventurous RPGs being run over the summer.
Here is the situation: Gondor has come under attack. Orcs have come down out of the Mountains, whilst, simultaneously, a fierce people of Men has come up out of the East. The marauding forces have overrun Calenardhon (the land that became Rohan), and the Steward of Gondor, Cirion, has sent north for help. Tidings of his need have come finally to Eorl, lord of the Éothéod. He has sent word to all his people to gather at his camp in preparation for the ride to Gondor.
Please answer his call, and join the ride to battle.
(remember folks, whilst you are free to pick a character, you should be one of the Northmen. I'm not aware that any elves got involved in this particular campaign

We'll all be part of the same company in the army, and the RPG will cover our adventures on the journey, and the final battle.

Eorl looked out over the field in which his force was camped. There was a small scattering of tents, but not enough to make a dent in the ranks of any enemy. But more would come. In a few days, they would be ready to ride.

(As Tolkien wrote very little about this, there is a wide range for imagination, but please be aware, the RP has to finish by the 20th of September. I myself will play my own character, and will only include Eorl if I feel the story needs moving on.)
