After a short ride the contours of a mare became visible in the distance. His brown mare, Tahna, was grazing calmly, hardly aware of the danger she'd just faced. Aside of the mare lay the Elf and man, both wounded and semi-conscious; hardly able to move, let alone ride. Dûrion clenched his teeth as he dismounted the horse, feeling the wound on his lower back as his feet touched the earth and grimaced. The wound was deep and his shirt was already soaked with blood. He took an extra shirt from his sadle bag and ripped it into strips, binding it tightly around his waist in an attempt to stop most of the bleeding. He then kneeled next to the man, who seemed to be mumbling something about herbs. His wound was dressed, provisionally though, probably done by the Elf. "The plains of East Emnet are wide and abandoned," he spoke to Lessien. "Drought and evil creatures have scared away its inhabitants. If we're lucky we might find shelter in a Rohirric village before nightfall, if we ride south swiftly." From his sadle bag he took his leather water bag, measured its content, before taking some large gulps and passed it on to the Elf. "His wound may have been poisenous, but I dare not to use his herbs now, with so little means to dress the wound. It would be a waste of the herbs. If we ride quick, he might make it.."

(Okay, I'll write something soon. But I'm a bit confused. How many people are still in? And which characters?)
