The hobbits were staring at her like she was an alien. "Oops. Sorry. By the way, I'm Kiara," she said to the hobbits, then lowered her voice. She thought for a bit and her eyes widened. "Will we let Boromir die? And Gandalf? What if we get accepted into the Fellowship?" she whispered half excitedly, nervous and scared.

Frodo, who'd overheard, looked at Elaine. "What was that about Gandalf dying?" Elaine blushed. "Oh, nothing. You must have misheard us. We're just so excited to see Gandalf!" Frodo seemed convinced. Then Elaine added, "Kiara, we need to talk!" She grabbed her friend's arm and pulled her off. When they were safely away, Elaine started freaking out. "Kiara, what if this isn't safe! I'm afraid I'll slip and tell Frodo that he destroys the ring in Chapter 3 of Book 2 of RotK! Then what if he gets frightened and doesn't destroy it? What if that messes up the book? What do we do?!?!?!?!?!?!"

Kiara looked around, now nervous and scared. "Oh snap! You're right!! What if we mess everything up??? What if more people die? What if we die in the process? I don't know what to do!! Wait. If we can mess things up then we can also correct things! What if they overhear us and they hear all about the future? I feel like screaming. A lot," Kiara said quickly and nervously.

"Okay, calm down!" said Elaine. "Maybe Kiara and I will have to ditch our Elvish names, Laura. We've already introduced ourselves; we can't just go changing our names! It was a good idea though. "I'm with you on that, Elaine," Kiara said and looked into her bag. "I bring this bag everywhere, and I literally mean EVERYWHERE. Good thing it got into Middle Earth with me. I have my penlight, my notebooks with a bunch of Middle Earth stuff that I write down including one with the Elvish words and phrases, some extra clothes, and some other stuff... I also have a Swiss Army knife in my pocket," she said, patting her skirt pocket. "We need Middle Earth clothes. Let's go ask an elf."
