Thanks to the bots I’ve been receiving emails with updates on previous forum posts I had either taken part in or commented on. I got to reminiscing reading old posts. My 111th watch of lord of the rings made me yearn for an RPG. I haven’t done it in years and honestly haven’t done any creative writing in years so no doubt I would be rusty. I did google some other RPG sites, but none that RP LOTR. I’m curious if anyone still uses this forum board or if it’s lost to the bots forever? |

Hey Naerwen, this place was lost years ago when the mast active mod (Will) gave up. Me and a couple others wrote an RP here in the late 201's into 2020, but with the increasing bot activity it got untenable. There is some LotR RP going on over on Tolkien Forums, which is really the only active and supported legacy LotR site from the '00s. I do some DM RP on RP Repository, and there is LotR Fanatics which is primarily based on roleplaying. They did a good job resurrecting that place when the old legacy site crashed in 2020. Oh yeah, someone tried to reawaken this place by creating a mirror Arwen Undomiel site but it never really got going. Apparently Anna still owns this domain name and somebody has to be paying for the hosting service, but nobody with admin keys is around. If I had them, I'd clean this place up and kill the bots. |
