Eleshna remained awake the whole night, resting her chin upon her knees as she watched the sunrise and bathe the land in a golden glow as though on fire.

She released a sigh, dreading what the day may bring, fearing the worst, yet still holding to hope for it all to turn out for the better.

As the sun filtered through the thinly clouded sky Jaden slowly woke. Opening his eyes his he looked over to see Eleshna.

Eleshna looked at him silently a moment before shaking her head. "No... I couldn't" she murmured, her voice unsteady as though she had been attempting to control sobs during the dark hours of the night.

The day slipped by before it was noticed, and soon the familiar figure seemed to step before them from the general direction of... nowhere. "I certainly hope minds have not changed during my absence?" the man questioned, his face still shadowed by the ever present hood, tattered edges of cloak and various other covering cloth were stirred by a breeze across the plains. "After all this, you may be on your way... in fact, I may even be lenient with you... but we'll see..."

The man stepped forward while glancing around for a moment, then he unsheathed a sword and dagger, both simple in design, but weighted to his hold well. "I suppose we should start then... the sooner the better..." he seemed to speak in a sly manner, then paused. "Ah, perhaps I should give you a name to call me by... just... call me Malyr"
