Eleshna bit her lip, looking towards the ground before responding. "I... don't want you to do it, Jaden.... I can't let you. I've been through it, all the tests, long ago and all that would be needed of me now would be to give one word, a yes, and the Shadows would again have a master..."

She looked at him, her eyes almost pleading. "He could very well turn against you somehow in this whole deal, like adding loopholes, and still keeping 'his word'.... He's... sly... that way."

The man hummed idly, seeming casual about the whole situation, as he meandered towards Syndar and gave the steed a firm pat on the neck his gaze straying over horse as though examiningly.

Eleshna shivered for a moment as she watched the stranger, then looked back at Jaden. "I... " Suddenly she was at a loss for words, her mind elsewhere as she stood with a puzzled expression, as though nothing seemed familiar to her.

Eleshna stood and watched silently, not sure why she even let it happen, not sure what exactly was happening. She released a sigh and turned her back on them, running a hand through her hair, her expression confused.

The man nodded with a slight smirk, "Of course, I did promise it, didn't I? Now, if you'll please, tell me when you wish the one on one combat to take place?"

Jaden thought about the question. "The next full moon witha clear sky." he answered thinking back to his birth for help.... somethign he had not thought about for literaly thousands of years.

He couldn't even remember what he was... he wasn't human, elf... or anything else.. he didn't know any more. But whatever he was somehow when he was born under the full moon and cloudless sky his power was enhanced by it's light.
