-Back on forum then, Ann? -
Without considering, Enyalie leapt to from the head of the boat to the rope ladder, effortlessly avoiding much of the water. Quickly climbing to the railing, she let herself over the side.

Alassea shivered in the water, waiting furiously for Valandil to follow suit after Enyalie. After he did so, she pulled herself numbly from the water, staying at her brother's heals.
Just as Valandil had climbed over the railing of her ship, Alassea was slowly pulling herself over, feeling completely devoid of strength and energy. She fell a short way, though landed unceremoniously onto the hard and water-slicked floorboards, remaining on her back and having no intention of moving.
Everyone seemed silent, and from what Alassea was seeing, the newcomer looked oddly ill.
Sea sickness?
She pushed the thought aside, hoping her own stomach wouldn't get any ideas.
An odd turn of events had happened. She found a familiar stow-away, saw a childhood friend, got captured by Easterlings, watched her brother die, then come back to life, ran away from more Easterlings, and came across a rather odd man who had saved their necks. ..And it was only noon.
The air seemed thick with questions that would have to be answered in the next couple of hours.

Lairiel stared down at Alassea in surprise, her lips slightly parted. She raised her eyebrows when her friend didn't get up, but remained on the floor, looking at the older man. Lairiel moved her gaze to the man, tipping her head to the left. He didn't look very well.
She looked at Valandil and Enyalie, amused to see Enyalie dry. She turned and walked to the side of the ship, staring at the Easterlings on the shore. One of them smacked another across the head and received a punch in the face. She watched as one tackled the other, knocking a few others over in the process. A fight broke out between them and several of them ended up in the water.
Lairiel turned from the sight and looked back at Alassea who hadn't moved. She sighed, wondering what was going to happen next, almost afraid do think about it.

Enyalie gazed silently down at Alassea. She considered helping her up, but she herself would think of that as an insult. So instead, she let her lie there, and turned away to take note of the wind. After testing its direction, she hoisted the sail. Casting a furtive glance at Valandil, she suggested he pulled the row boat onto the deck, if it was requied to be aboard.

Aedail clapped a hand over his mouth while reaching into a pocket of his robes. Finding some herbs, he quickly chewed them and relaxed slightly, waiting for them to take affect. Within a few minutes his queasiness died down and he felt somewhat normal. Yawning slightly, he then spoke. "I don't suppose you would have any food..."

Of all the questions that were to be purged into the air, Alassea found that the least likely to be asked first, nevertheless she answered; having finally caught her breath.
" Below deck, help yourself."
A foolish answer. They'd have to spare, considering that she was returning with four extra stomachs to fill. The Gods only knew how much this man was going to pack in, yet for some odd reason she cared not.
She leaned up, resting her back against the side of the ship, gazing blankly at the deck's floorboards.
Valandil ran a hand through his shoulder-length dark hair, his soft chestnut eyes hazy. He was the second to speak.
" What is your name, my lord, before you go?" He looked over at Aedail with peeked interest.
[ I'll have him pull the row-boat in on the next post.]

Enyalie sat heavily against the mast, silently watching the others interact. It was actually somewhat grimly amusing, although she had nothing left to laugh about. She turned her face away from them, and watched the spray of the saltwater flush against the ship, breaching the sides as it slid them effortlessly through the water.

Aedail paused. "I have many names...Old Man, Kal-hir...but my true name is Aedail." Having answered Valandil's question sufficiently, he headed below deck.

(xD It kind of died...)
Lairiel watched Aedial closely until he disappeared below deck. She leaned against the railing and sighed into the wind. Weariness began to settle in and she closed her eyes, picturing herself at home in her warm bed.
A warm breeze blew through her hair and Lairiel sighed, burying her face in her pillow. She could hear the birds chirping outside and could feel the warmth of the sunlight that streamed into her bedchamber between the columns of her terrace. It was so good to be home again...
Lairiel was jerked from her pleasant reverie when she landed heavily on the floor. She groaned in pain and tried to roll onto her side, but gave up. She closed her eyes again and curled up on the floor. Maybe she would be fortunate enought to get a few minutes of sleep...
