"Stressful?" he mused, gently.
His eyes raised to Cora. She was kind, but she treated him like the frail iris flower, as if he would snap under even the slightest pressure.
His body was fragile perhaps, but Aarisynta had a strong spirit...

"...ah, I am not so fragile to be crushed by my sorrows. If I were, then I would not be standing now, I fear."

Cora smiled and lowered her gaze in apology. "I underestimate your strength, then, young one, I am sorry." Her gaze strayed across the sunlit garden behind them, then towards the firm spirited youth before her. "What is it you suffer from, may I ask? If it is something those here know well of already, forgive me for asking... I have only come here for visits ever so often"

She looked at him disbelieving. Shifting her weight to find a more comfortable stance, Eilwynn watched him with uncertainty. Finally, to change the subject, she held out her arm.

" Care to escort me back to the library then?" She let a small smile appear.

It took Arvalin a moment to decide whether it would be worthwhile to accompany her to the library...But, he considered that she was not in the best of health, and he would have to return there anyway. So he complacently took her proffered arm, and smoothly began to lead her back to the library, making an attempt to tell himself that he would stop acting so foolish once he found himself again.

He looked to Cora, rather taken aback at the question. Not many would have asked straight out, demanded to his face...in fact, many others skipped about the subject as if it were not there...
For once...it was a pleasant change.

"I know not it's name, my lady...but that my blood flows endlessly when released, as if it would long to escape my body. Once I am cut, I do not heal."

He told her softly, raising a bandaged hand to sweep back his hair.

"My physical vessel is weak, and cannot sustain even the slightest damage without shattering like glass...."

Cora's gaze softened in worry and pity for the youth before her, but she dared not speak the words of her pity, for she knew it may very well offend his unbroken spirit, the essence of his life.

"You have gone through much, then, in your few years, and to have remained so strong in spirit through such, is a courageous task to accomplish, young master Aarisynta." Her voice was gentle, calm, accompanied by a smile that graced her features, the sunlight dancing in her eyes like in the leaves of a beech tree blown in the gentle wind and lit by the daylight.

[ Just to make things interesting..]

It was not long before Eilwynn started to feel light-headed. They were only yards away from the library before dizzyness set in, and her vision doubled momentarily. She slowed her pace some, brows knitting as she tried to concentrate her sight on one specific tile on the floor, but it did not come to focus.

She opened her mouth as if to speak, but before she breathed a word she collapsed; meeting the floor with all the grace of cold steel. Pain no longer becomes a problem to the unconscious, and thus was the only upside to Eilwynn. Her body lay sprawled out in a tangled limp heap upon the alabastor stone, one arm folded beneath her while the other remained outstretched.

-Interesting, eh?-

Arvalin felt her fall before he saw it, her hand fell from his arm, and when he turned to look she was gone. Silently cursing, he looked up and down the hallway, seeing no one. With a deep sigh, he lifted her easily from the floor, being careful not to inflict more damage that was already done. After a simple shift of weight, she was firmly situated in his arms and surprisingly light. He carried her effortlessly into the library, only a few yards away, where through the doorway the two Elves stood, softly talking.
He did not look at them, as he silently laid the girl on the table. But then he murmured, "I am no healer. If either of you posess the skill or the inclination to help her, I'm sure she would appreciate it." He glanced up at them impassively,

Cora looked over, her eyes showing surprise at seeing the young woman carried in, unconcious, her limp form carefully laid upon the table. At the murmured words from the young man, Cora calmly made her way over and rested a gentle hand upon the young maiden's forehead, then held the back of her fingers against her cheek. "She's warm, but not surprising, since she has most likely strained herself far too much for the condition she is in..." she commented quietly, even though she did not expect to have her views of the situation backed up by those near her. unclasping and folding her silken cloak, she placed it beneath the young woman's head and turned her firm gaze to the young man. "Would you be so kind as to find some water, and perhaps one of the healers of this dwelling?" She requested of him, her tone gently urgent.

Evn though "being so kind" as to do anything was not exactly what he would consider it, he silently departed through the archway, but stopped once he took a few steps down the stairs. He looked down, biting his lip in a rare moment of confusion. What was he doing, anyway? Rushing off to save some girl that he knew nothing about? It was so completely uncharacteristic, it became exhilerating, like maybe there was a way to save some small part of something. He raced the rest of the way down the stairs, grateful that he was in some aspect of physical fitness.
Once Arvalin reached the infirmary of Imladris, itself not entirely full of the weak or invalid, he found a healer that he had once known. This particular physician couldn't have appreciated much of what Arvalin had done, nor what he had said about weakness and those who abide by it. But, once the man had heard about the indisposed young woman, he collected a small groups of his assistance, and followed Arvalin to the library.

Upon all this, the youth stood in helplessness.
With delicate steps, and care to disrupt none; he moved toward Cora's side, watching over Eilwynn.
It was just a moment before he turned his head up to look at his company.

"I....can heal her." he whispered gently.
"If it is only fatigue, then I can...I think."

Ever unsure of his own ability, Aarisynta reached out those bandaged hands, placing one on Eilwynn's head in a featherlight touch.

"By the rushing seas, by the western winds of change, I command power to my being. Beneath the light of the sun, and from the shadows of night; I call upon my spirit.
My heart is whole, let me recieve vitality, let me give my heart's light."

With his incantation, a soft silvery glow seemed to spread from the young boy's frail hands, spreading like water across Eilwynn's frame. For a moment, it hovered like a veil before falling.

For Eilwynn, the feeling was cool. Even in unconciousness, it was as if someone was breathing a refreshingly cool breeze across her entire being..

She felt as if she were in a dream...feeling the lucid waters of some stream trickle down her arms and between her toes. It was comforting, and she did not want to wake. However..it soon faded, and was cruelly replaced with the stiff feeling of a table beneath her.

Instinctively, she would have jolted up, glaive in hand and ready to attack, but her wounds still held some power over her. Flinching awake, she drew a sharp intake of breath, glaive unsheathed and inches away from Aarisynta's jugular, though she remained laying down. Blinking a couple times, she immediately sheathed the weapon, thankful she had done no harm to the frail creature...of all people.

Slightly embarrassed she forced herself up slowly, somber gaze averted to the floor as she spoke.

" I don't even want to know.."

-What the heck is a glaive?-

Arvalin and the entourage of healers passed through the doorway just as Eilwynn sheathed her weapon. With a curious glance at the three's faces, he slowed, and stopped.

"What happened?" He said readily, his gaze fixing on Eilwynn.

(*isn't feeling too well* Forgive me if my post doesn't quite flow...)

Cora was amazed at what the frail youth had done, her wonder upon his strong spirit, displayed by way of his ability to give strength to and awaken the young woman. Her silent wonderment was broken by the sudden actions of the girl upon the table, so frightfully shattering the peace of the moment.

Cora's immediately reflex was to reach for her sword, which was not by her side at that moment, her hand reaching air, grasping at nothingness. Alas, these were peaceful times and this was a peaceful dwelling, even though it was rare for her to leave her sword behind.

Turning in one swift graceful movement, Cora faced those who had, at the moment of the sheathing of the blade, arrived. Her gaze, however, drifted to Aarisynta, her eyes questioning if he would want what he had done revealed in the presence of the healers or if silence should be kept on such a matter.

At the drawing of the blade, the youth froze, his chin tilted upward suddenly to avoid the sharp edge pressed almost to his jugular. With just a millimetre more, he would have been dead...and by a hand that he had lent his own strength to.
Ironic.
Those dark eyes fluttered slightly, eyelids dropping. Ah..how...how tired he felt, how drained...

He turned those deep chocolate optics toward Cora with a very small smile.
"I should return...to where I belong." he told her, before turning quietly without needing any apology or words of thanks as his gentle footsteps traced their way toward the door; still feeling unstable...

Arvalin moved silently aside to let him pass, but the healers might question his health...He was not, obviously, very stable, and he looked rather tired. Nonetheless, Arvalin still watched Eilwynn, awaiting an explanation.
