Bella gazed wide eyed at the elvish dagger that Alya gave her. She slowly tucked it away into her belt where it was easily reached. "Thank you very much," she said to Alya. Then she silently listened as Rhavaniel delivered the message.

Hadharon was walking along, scanning the Orc's trail for any sign that more of them had split off from the main group, when he heard a rider pounding up the trail ahead. Quickly moving behind a tree, he watched the road with an arrow nocked to his bow, crouched out of sight. He wasn't sure what he expected, but it certainly wasn't what came. An elf came down the trail on a black stallion, riding in a way that Hadharon figured only one person did. "Rhavaniel?" he asked, stepping out of his hiding place. "What are you doing here?"

The elf pulled the reins, making the horse clatter to a halt, breathing hard. " Mae Govannen Hadharon. We need your help. The Shire... Saruman has a small army of Uruks headed towards Hobbiton. They will arrive tomorrow morning."

Hadharon nodded his head in understanding. "Hadhorion is on his way towards Bywater, and Corannon and Tirathor are heading towards Sarn Ford. If the Uruks are going to enter the Shire, they must cross the Brandywine there. If you get Hadhorion, I shall hurry to the Ford, and then, if others come, we shall have enough to make a stand. Are there others who are with you?" he asked anxiously.

Eruriana stopped for a second. She herd horses up ahead, and men talking. Those have to be some scouts set up to potrol the area, She thought, I'd better warn them at the problem at hand.
Then she rode up, and saw they were rangers, rangers from the north....

He needed to hurry up and get down to Sarn Ford, but it certainly would be a lot faster if Dalferan was around. The great brown horse had ridden him through many dangers, and into many more, though at the behest of his rider.
