"Whoa, Sparrow," a deep brown stallion heard from his back. The equine halted abruptly before the gates of Edoras, and offered a soft snort as he craned his neck about to see his rider. The man on his back was relatively tall, and his face was hidden from view as his hood overshadowed his features.
Ice-blue eyes glinted briefly, and the man smiled beneath his hood at his steed before lifting his gaze to the gates.
"Hail, men of the Rohirrim! I am no threat to your people, so why not let me visit your proud halls?" he called out. Two men appeared at the gates, and immediately recognized the cloaked figure.
"'Tis the Lord Narie," one whispered to the other. Both began bustling about and pushed the gates open to let the figure enter, bowing as he passed.
"Many thanks, good sirs."
"Welcome back, m'lord," the guards replied.
The figure was an elf, but a ranger as well, and had visited the Golden Hall many times before. His quiver of arrows and longbow hung across his back, and at his hip was a battleworn longsword. He wore a tunic of fine black cloth, grey leggings, and soft boots of supple brown leather.
He kept his hood drawn as he made his way to the stable, though his ice-blue eyes were clearly visible as they remained slightly illuminated, and errant strands of his rather shaggy, shoulder length jet black hair fell over his vision.
"I'll be back, Sparrow, m'lad," he said gently to the sturdy stallion. "Rest and relax, mellon nin."

((I'm not sure where he'll fit in, but perhaps Ononion could spot him coming up from the open window, or something...^^))
